At Novy, we believe your plans, tasks, and notes are your personal business. This Privacy Policy outlines our commitment to your privacy and explains how your data is handled when you use the Novy – Task & Planner iOS application.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. Novy was intentionally designed to operate completely offline. All of your data—including projects, tasks, subtasks, notes, tags, and reminders—is stored locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework.
Your information never leaves your device and is never sent to our servers, because we do not have servers.
We do not require user accounts, nor do we track your usage.
No registration or login is required to use Novy.
We do not use third-party analytics tools (like Google Analytics or Mixpanel) to track how you use the app.
We do not serve advertisements, and we do not share or sell your data to any third parties.
Novy requests minimal device permissions, strictly to provide core app functionality:
Notifications: We request permission to send local notifications strictly so the app can schedule and alert you of reminders you explicitly set for your tasks. These are scheduled locally on your device and are not triggered by a remote server.
Face ID / Touch ID (Biometrics): We utilize Apple’s LocalAuthentication framework to protect highly sensitive actions within the app, such as the "Reset All Data" feature. This authentication happens securely via the Secure Enclave on your device. We do not have access to your biometric data.
Because your data is stored locally on your device, it may be included in your standard iCloud or iTunes device backups if you have those features enabled in your iOS system settings. This data is managed directly by Apple according to their privacy policies.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time if we introduce new features (such as opt-in iCloud Sync in the future). If we do, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy. However, our core philosophy of not selling or mining your personal data will never change.
