No we aren't. NovaOS is just moving RoturTW to an external comprehensive application. As so many people like to use NovaOS's RoturTW Services without having to go through and installing NovaOS.
OrionClient is essentially running a headless NovaOS session underneath to represent a full RoturTW Client. Though, OrionClient is not saving anything permanently or running a filesystem, window manager or process manager which NovaOS does.
OrionClient uses a basic hosted static application with direct communication like what old NovaOS apps used to do. OrionClient provides no sandboxing for its applications, which is justified because it does not provide sideloading functionality.
Because app icons in NovaOS are used in various places and in various sizes and shapes. NovaOS is better off having a manipulatable app asset than a static file to retain better cohesiveness in UI. Traditional operating systems usually save multiple copies of different sizes of app favicons, whereas NovaOS can display icons in any way at any size without having to save redundant icon files.
