Where Is It respects your privacy and is designed to help you save and retrieve the locations of your personal items using text, voice, and images.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Where Is It accesses, how that information is used, where it is stored, and how optional Google account connectivity is used for Secret Vault PIN recovery.

1. Information We Access

Where Is It may access the following information only when you use the related features of the app:

Microphone

The microphone is used when you choose voice input to save or search for item information.

Voice input is used to process your request and provide app functionality such as saving or searching for an item.

Camera

The camera is used when you choose to capture an image of an item.

Images and Item Information

When you choose to save an item, the app may store information such as:

• Item name

• Location

• Category

• Description or other item details

• Item image

• Date and time associated with the saved item

This information is used to provide the core item-saving and item-search functionality of Where Is It.

Google Account Information – Optional

Where Is It provides an optional Google account connection for Secret Vault PIN recovery.

If you choose to connect a Google account for this purpose, the app may receive basic account information made available through Google Sign-In, including your Google account email address.

This information is used only to associate your selected Google account with the Secret Vault recovery option.

Connecting a Google account is optional.

You do not need to connect a Google account to use Where Is It, save normal items, search normal items, or use the Secret Vault.

Where Is It does not use your Google account information for advertising or marketing purposes.

2. How Information Is Used

Information accessed or saved by Where Is It is used only to provide the functionality of the app, including:

• Saving item names and locations

• Attaching images to saved items

• Searching saved items

• Processing voice input for saving and searching

• Providing voice responses and confirmations

• Protecting Secret Vault items with a PIN

• Providing optional Google account-based recovery for the Secret Vault PIN

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Data Storage

Personal Items

Where Is It is designed primarily as an offline, device-based item memory application.

Your saved personal item information and associated images are stored locally on your device and are not automatically uploaded to a cloud database.

Secret Vault

Secret Vault information is stored locally on your device and is kept separate from your normal item collection.

Your Secret Vault contents are not shared with other users through the current version of the app.

Google Recovery Information

If you voluntarily connect a Google account for Secret Vault PIN recovery, the app uses the Google account information necessary to identify the selected recovery account.

The recovery account information is used only for the Secret Vault recovery function.

Google may process information as part of the Google Sign-In service according to Google's own privacy practices and policies.

4. Sharing of Information

Where Is It does not sell your personal information.

The current version of Where Is It does not provide a feature for sharing your saved personal items or Secret Vault contents with other users.

If you voluntarily use Google Sign-In for Secret Vault recovery, your Google account information is processed as necessary to provide that sign-in and recovery functionality.

We do not use your Google account information for advertising or sell it to advertisers.

5. Third-Party Services

Where Is It may use Google Sign-In to provide the optional Secret Vault PIN recovery feature.

Google processes information associated with Google Sign-In according to Google's applicable privacy policies and terms.

Where Is It does not use third-party advertising services.

Where Is It does not use third-party analytics services in the current version.

6. Permissions

Where Is It requests permissions only when required for specific app features.

Microphone

Used for voice input when you choose to speak an item name, location, or search request.

Camera

Used when you choose to capture an image of an item.

The app does not use these permissions continuously in the background for advertising or tracking purposes.

7. Data Security

Where Is It is designed to keep your personal item information under your control on your device.

The Secret Vault is protected by the PIN you create.

Data transmitted to third-party services when you voluntarily use features such as Google Sign-In is handled using the security mechanisms provided by those services.

No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect information used by the app.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Personal item information and images remain on your device until you delete them through the app, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app, subject to the behavior of your device and operating system.

Secret Vault information remains on your device until you delete the relevant Vault items, reset/delete the Vault data, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app.

If you use Google account recovery, the recovery association may remain available until you remove or reset the associated Secret Vault recovery information through the app.

Where Is It does not maintain a separate cloud database containing your normal personal item collection in the current version.

9. Children's Privacy

Where Is It is not specifically directed toward children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for advertising or marketing purposes.

Parents or guardians who believe that a child has provided personal information to us may contact us using the contact information below.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time when the app's features, services, or data practices change.

When significant changes are made, the updated policy will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
