Volunteer Registration

***Attention***

Prospective Commencement Faculty Marshals and General Volunteers are encouraged to disclose their participation with their supervisor and discuss permission, if necessary, regarding work coverage. Please consult with your supervisor and make any needed arrangements prior to signing up.

Assignments

General Volunteer:
Ambassador/Usher - manage graduate line-up, assist students with regalia, photos, and serve as a venue host, etc./hand out programs to guests at point of entries, provide seating and venue directions, answer general questions, etc.

General Assistant - assist graduates and guests with ticket management, special accommodations, crowd management, venue directions, late arrivals, relieve other volunteers as needed, etc.

Hospitality - serve in NOVA VIP area, assist with faculty/staff regalia robing, food service attendant, volunteer registration/check-in table, document lost and found items, etc.

Faculty Marshal:
Faculty Marshal - assist with the organization of graduates, from processional to recessional, etc.; must wear academic regalia

Other - volunteers are encouraged and are welcome to work other tasks suitable to their needs, if requested
