Northi Drive is a GPS speedometer and trip-information application. This Privacy Policy explains how the app accesses and handles information.
## Information accessed by the app
Northi Drive requests foreground device-location access, including precise location, to calculate and display live speed, GPS accuracy, bearing, altitude, trip distance, and related driving information. Location is accessed only while the app is being used.
## Data collection and sharing
Northi Drive does not create user accounts and does not collect, upload, sell, rent, or share precise location, trip information, personal information, or other user data with the developer or third parties.
Location and trip calculations are performed on the user's device. Trip information and app preferences are stored locally on the device where necessary for app functionality. The developer does not operate a server that receives this information.
## Permissions
- **Precise and approximate location:** Used to calculate live speed and trip information.
- **Vibration:** Used for the optional speed-limit alert.
Northi Drive does not request background-location permission.
## Third-party services
Northi Drive uses Google Play services' Fused Location Provider to obtain location updates from the Android device. Use of Google Play services is subject to Google's applicable terms and privacy policy.
The current version of Northi Drive does not contain an advertising SDK. If advertising or another service that changes the app's data practices is added in a future version, this Privacy Policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration will be updated before that version is released.
## Data retention and deletion
Because the developer does not collect or receive user data, the developer has no remotely stored user data to retain or delete. Users can remove locally stored app preferences and trip information by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.
## Children's privacy
Northi Drive is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed to children.
## Security
Northi Drive minimizes data handling by processing location and trip information locally on the device. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, but the app is designed not to transmit this information to the developer.
## Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app's features or legal requirements change. Updates will be published at the same public URL with a revised effective date.
