AuraaByte ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Screen Lock & Wake – Shake mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how our App handles user information and device permissions when you use our services.
Screen Lock & Wake – Shake is designed with privacy at its core. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) to our servers or third parties.
Sensor & Hardware Data: The App accesses device hardware sensors (proximity sensor, accelerometer, and gyroscope) strictly in real-time on your device to execute gesture-based actions (such as shaking, lifting, flipping, or waving). This sensor data is processed locally in RAM and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted off your device.
Non-Personal Technical Data: If third-party advertising or analytics SDKs (such as Google AdMob or Firebase Crashlytics) are enabled, they may collect non-identifiable technical data (e.g., device model, OS version, advertising ID, crash logs) to serve ads or diagnose performance issues.
To provide screen control and gesture detection features without requiring physical button presses, the App requires specific Android permissions:
Device Administrator / Accessibility Service: Required solely to perform the system-level command to lock and turn off the screen when triggered by user gestures (e.g., Shake to Lock, Flip to Sleep, Double Tap). We do not use these permissions to monitor screen content, read keystrokes, or alter personal settings.
Sensor Permissions (BODY_SENSORS / Hardware Sensors): Used to detect physical movements and proximity events (Lift to Wake, Wave to Unlock, Shake gestures).
System Alert Window / Display Over Other Apps: Used to enable double-tap overlay areas or display floating controls for seamless screen management.
Foreground Service & Wake Lock (WAKE_LOCK): Keeps sensor listeners active in the background when the screen is off or standby, allowing the App to wake your screen upon motion detection.
Vibration: Provides brief haptic feedback confirming that a gesture has been successfully recognized.
Local Processing: All gesture processing, trigger thresholds, and user customization settings remain entirely on your local device storage.
Zero Personal Profiling: We do not track your location, access your contacts, view media files, or build advertising profiles based on your physical behavior.

Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate measures.
