Nova Task Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how "App.Hive" handles information collected from users of the Nova Task mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

a. Information You Provide Directly (Locally Stored): * The Nova Task app allows you to create and manage tasks and reminders. All task-related data, notes, and preferences you enter into the App are stored exclusively on your device (local storage). We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to your personal task data on our servers or any third-party servers. Your task data remains entirely private to your device.

b. Information Collected Automatically (via Third-Party Services): We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within our App. Google AdMob, as a third-party service provider, automatically collects certain information to provide and improve its advertising services, and to analyze ad performance. This information may include, but is not limited to:

Device-specific information: Such as your device's hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (like the advertising ID), and mobile network information. 

IP address: Used for general geographic location and fraud prevention. 

Usage data: Information about your interactions with ads displayed in the App (e.g., ad impressions, clicks). 

Location information: If your device settings allow and you grant explicit permission, general or precise location data might be collected by Google AdMob for ad targeting purposes. * This automatically collected data is processed by Google AdMob in accordance with their own privacy policies.

2. Purpose of Data Collection

The information collected automatically via Google AdMob is used for the following purposes:

• To serve personalized and relevant advertisements within the App.

• To analyze and measure the effectiveness and performance of advertising campaigns.

• To detect and prevent fraudulent or invalid ad activity.

• To improve the overall advertising experience for users.

3. Data Sharing

We do not share any personally identifiable information collected directly by us (such as your task data, which is only local to your device).

Information collected automatically by Google AdMob is shared with Google AdMob and its advertising partners as necessary to provide advertising services, measure ad performance, and comply with legal obligations. We do not directly share any of your data with these third parties beyond what is automatically collected by their SDKs when integrated into the App.

5. User Choices and Opt-Out

Users can generally opt-out of personalized advertising by Google through their device's ad settings. For Android devices, you can usually find this under Settings > Google > Ads. Here, you can reset your advertising ID and opt-out of interest-based ads.

6. Children's Privacy

The Nova Task App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will take immediate steps to remove that information from our records.

7. Data Retention and Deletion Policy

This section outlines how users can manage or request the deletion of their data in relation to the Nova Task App.

1. Your Local Task Data:

• All task data (tasks, reminders, notes) you create within the Nova Task App is stored locally on your device only. We do not collect, store, or have access to this data on our servers.

• To delete your local task data, you can:

  • Uninstall the app: This will remove all associated local data from your device.

  • Clear the app's storage/cache: You can do this through your device's settings (e.g., Settings > Apps > Nova Task > Storage > Clear Data).

  • If you choose to delete the app, please note that this data is permanently removed from our control as it was never transmitted to our servers.

2. Data Collected by Third-Party Services (Google AdMob):

• As stated in our Privacy Policy, we use Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google AdMob automatically collects certain device-specific information (like Advertising ID, IP address) and app activity data for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention purposes. This data is managed by Google.

• We do not directly store or manage this third-party collected data. However, users can control and manage this data as follows:

  • Resetting Your Advertising ID: You can reset your device's unique Advertising ID at any time through your device's settings (e.g., on Android, go to Settings > Google > Ads > Reset advertising ID). This will disconnect your device from past ad targeting data.

  • Google Activity Controls: You can manage your activity data and privacy settings directly with Google through your Google account (myactivity.google.com).

• For any specific requests or concerns regarding data collected by Google AdMob that are not addressed by the above methods, you may contact us using the details below. We will then guide you on how to submit such requests to the relevant third-party service provider or explain the available user controls.
