NOVA is a parallel dynamic equalizer. Appearing in the familiar layout of a parametric equalizer, each band also includes a full featured dynamics section allowing the processor to cover an impressively wide range of applications. Be it a master lacking density, the drum bus asking for more crispiness, or a sibilance problem in your perfect take: NOVA has an elegant answer.

I will adjust my upstream equalizers to get the curve in SlickEQ-M close to the pink noise reference without much change needed in the SlickEQ-M. This helps me mix and helps me tune my ear to what balance there should be.

It's a known issue. Or better said it's a limit caused how VST plugins are implemented. The interface you're seeing and using isn't the actual VST plugin that processes the audio. The Configuration Editor shows only the interface part of the plugin whilst the Equalizer APO audio engine (equalizerapo.dll) has the audio processing part of the plugin loaded for changing the audio.

In principle this part could be shown for the live signal level. But having 2 interfaces on screen can be more confusing. Besides on this signal processing part you can't change the audio!

Knowing the above means that the level meters can't show the live signal. Of course this accounts for every plugin you chose. For live signal levels I suggest to use the Peace equalizer interface for Equalizer APO. It has live peak value meters (gain/signal meters).

NOVA GE is a parallel dynamic equalizer. Appearing in the familiar layout of a parametric equalizer, the plugin also includes flexible dynamics processing options allowing the coverage of an impressively wide range of applications. Be it a master lacking density, the drum bus asking for more crispiness, or a sibilance problem in your perfect take: NOVA has an elegant musical answer.

A parametric equalizer (EQ) is a type of audio equalizer that lets you control the gain (volume) and frequency of specific frequency bands in a very precise way. In contrast to a graphic equalizer, which usually has a fixed number of "bands" with fixed frequencies whose levels the user can change, a parametric equalizer lets the user change the amplitude, frequency, and bandwidth of each band separately.

TDR Nova is a dynamic equalizer - which can adapt to your track unlike any regular EQ. You can set each band to react to the amplitude - so your frequencies are limited and boosted automatically, based on the sound itself.
