Giving Back to the Community 🌟🤝
Being part of professional societies isn’t just about membership—it’s about connection, contribution, and growth. It’s where ideas are exchanged, collaborations are born, and individuals come together to shape the future of their fields. Through my volunteer work as a reviewer, session chair, judge, and more, I’ve had the privilege of supporting the academic and research communities that inspire me every day. These roles have given me the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge research, offer constructive feedback, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge across diverse disciplines.
What I find most rewarding is how these experiences go beyond professional development—they’ve helped me build meaningful relationships with brilliant minds from around the world, fostered a spirit of continuous learning, and deepened my appreciation for the collaborative nature of academia. Every paper reviewed, session chaired, or event organized has been a chance to not only support others in their work but also to grow as a scholar and mentor.
Here’s a look at the roles I’ve embraced and the experiences that have enriched my journey. ✨
Secretary of the IEEE Signal Processing and Communication Society Joint Chapter: In this role, I collaborate closely with the chair and vice-chair to ensure the smooth and effective organization of events. One notable example is my contribution to the successful organization of the PROGRESS Workshop during ICIP 2024, where I played an active role in coordinating and supporting event activities. I was also the MC of this event.
