Purpose
Notifire - Agent Alerts is an independent Chrome extension for authorized Blazeo agents. It displays the signed-in agent’s daily and weekly call metrics, break schedule, break reminders and own unsent-intake alerts. This policy applies to the Agent extension, not Notifire — 8x8 Supervisor Alerts. Neither product is affiliated with or endorsed by 8x8.
Work-account sign-in and identity
Google verifies the selected work account. The Notifire service receives the verified work email and checks that it is an approved @blazeo.com account. It matches that account to an 8x8 agent using directory information and, where necessary, an administrator-confirmed mapping. The service uses the matched identity to select that person’s metrics and break schedule. Agents cannot select another person by entering an arbitrary email or agent ID. Google handles the Google account password; Notifire does not ask for or store it.
Information processed
The extension and its service process the work email, matched agent name and identifier, account connection status, individual daily and weekly call counts, rates and average durations, scheduled break labels and times, and actual break duration reported by 8x8. The extension reads relevant identity and status information from the open 8x8 Agent Workspace.
For unsent-intake reminders, the extension reads relevant rows in the signed-in Blazeo intake portal: agent name, inbox and transaction identifiers, call timestamp, channel, direction and the status/action needed to identify qualifying Not Sent intakes. It filters these records to the connected agent and evaluates overdue reminders locally. It does not collect call recordings, microphone audio or intake narrative/case text for these reminders. The Notifire backend does not receive the intake row snapshot as part of this reminder flow.
The extension also processes user preferences such as advance reminder minutes, intake threshold and lookback, timezone selection, sound choice, volume, mute, repeating reminders, and alert acknowledgements. It uses the configured service/page URLs, tab identifiers and frame information to connect the service, locate source tabs and deliver alerts. It does not build a general browsing-history list, record keystrokes or scrape unrelated websites.
Local and server-side processing
This Agent extension is not entirely local. Its Google Apps Script backend verifies the work identity and retrieves the authorized agent’s metrics from the company’s 8x8 API and breaks from the company’s private schedule sheet. Requests and responses travel over HTTPS. Company API credentials remain in the private backend and are not distributed to agents. Agents are not granted access to the source sheet, CC Operations Portal or script editor by signing in to Notifire.
Preferences, connection metadata, acknowledgement state and cached display data are stored in Chrome extension local or session storage. The persistent session credential is stored in extension-origin IndexedDB in the current Chrome profile. It is not synced through Chrome storage sync. The backend stores a hash of the session token with the associated work email, agent ID and creation/expiry times; the raw token is not stored in that server-side session record. Administrators can maintain approved identity mappings and access restrictions. The backend temporarily caches directory and reporting responses to reduce repeated source requests.
Adoption reporting and campaign eligibility
The service records successful authenticated connections for operational adoption reporting: verified work email, agent name, first recorded connection, latest service connection and extension version when a compatible build reports it. Updates are limited to approximately once every five minutes. Older builds may not report a version. This report does not identify people who installed but never connected, establish an exact download date, prove an uninstall, or measure browsing, employee productivity or work activity. The report and CSV export are restricted to the designated administrator, fayyaz.nasir@blazeo.com, through verified Google identity. Adoption records are retained for up to 180 days after the latest connection, with expired entries removed during subsequent reporting writes. Contact the publisher for deletion requests. Reporting failures do not block the core service.
For outbound campaign alerts, the backend checks whether the verified agent name is on the private campaign roster and returns an eligibility result. Eligible agents monitor campaign channel names and lead identifiers through their own signed-in portal session; existing leads establish a silent baseline, and newly appearing identifiers trigger alerts. Lead identifiers used for duplicate prevention are stored locally in the Chrome profile. Campaign lead contact details and narrative content are not collected for these alerts. Agents are not granted access to the roster sheet. Campaign alerts use the shared volume and mute controls.
Service providers and disclosure
Google provides account verification, Apps Script execution, hosting and storage; 8x8 supplies call reporting and identity data; the organization’s schedule sheet supplies breaks; and the signed-in Blazeo portal supplies intake rows. These services process information needed to provide the stated features under their applicable policies and the organization’s arrangements. Administrators who control the backend can access its stored records and configuration. Service providers may process technical request information under their own policies.
We do not sell user data, use it for advertising, transfer it to data brokers, use it to determine creditworthiness, or use it for purposes unrelated to these features. Notifire’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Its use of user data also complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including Limited Use.
Clipboard and user-directed sharing
When the agent clicks a card’s copy-image button, Notifire creates a PNG containing the displayed alert information and writes it to the clipboard. It does not read existing clipboard contents or automatically send the image to Google Chat or another service. Sharing occurs only when the user pastes or sends it in another application. Alert images may contain work or employee information; share them only with appropriate recipients.
Retention and controls
A saved Notifire session is valid for up to 30 days unless revoked or disabled earlier. Expired sessions are rejected even if their server record has not yet been removed. Expired server session records are cleaned up during later session enrollment; administrators can remove or revoke records. Sign out removes the active local credential and requests server revocation. If offline, revocation is queued until the service can be reached. Uninstalling removes the extension’s local data but does not itself call the backend to revoke its server record; that record remains subject to expiry and cleanup. For server-side deletion requests, contact the publisher below or your organization’s administrator.
Temporary source readings and alerts use session storage and are lost when that Chrome extension session storage is cleared. Persistent preferences, account metadata and cached display records can survive browser restarts until replaced, cleared or removed through sign-out where applicable, extension storage controls or uninstall. Source-system records, such as the original 8x8 reports, intake entries and break sheet, remain governed by the organization’s own retention rules. Removing Notifire does not delete those records or images already shared elsewhere.
Agents can change available timing preferences, sound selection and volume, mute audio, acknowledge cards or sign out. Required visual break and intake notifications cannot be disabled individually through the Agent settings. Muting audio does not disable cards. Access to the computer and Chrome profile should be protected by the user and their organization; a saved session is an authentication credential.
Security and permissions
Notifire requests storage for preferences and display state; alarms for periodic refresh and reminder checks; notifications for browser alerts; offscreen for bundled alert audio; clipboardWrite for explicit image copies; scripting and webNavigation to complete the configured work-account connection; and access to the specified 8x8, Blazeo intake and Google Apps Script/Google-hosted frame domains for these functions. It does not request clipboard-read permission. It does not request Google or 8x8 passwords, microphone access, camera access or device geolocation.
Privacy-policy website
This policy is hosted using Google Sites. Google may process website access information under https://policies.google.com/privacy. Visiting this policy does not sign you in to Notifire or display your work metrics.
