Privacy Policy for Notes n More
Effective Date: September 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Aashish Patil ("I," "me," or "my") handles information in connection with your use of the "Notes n More" mobile and desktop application (the "App") and related services.
By using the Notes n More App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Notes n More is designed so that your content stays yours — it lives on your device and, if you choose, in your own iCloud account. I do not operate a server or database that stores your content, and I have no way to view, access, or retrieve it.
User-Generated Content: The notes, tasks, rich-text documents, photos, voice memos, and drawings you create in the App are stored locally on your device. If iCloud is enabled on your device, this content is also synced through Apple's iCloud Drive to your personal iCloud account, so it's available across your other Apple devices. This sync happens entirely between your device and your own iCloud storage — it is never sent to, or stored on, any server I operate. I have no access to this content at any time.
Calendar Data (optional): If you turn on "Show Calendar Events" in the Daily view, the App reads events from your device's calendar (via Apple's EventKit framework) so it can display them alongside your tasks for the day. This access is read-only, is only requested if you enable the feature, and the calendar data is displayed on your device only — it is never transmitted anywhere, including to me.
Camera, Microphone, and Photo Library (optional): The App may ask for access to your camera, microphone, or photo library only when you use a specific feature that needs it — for example, adding a photo to a note, recording a voice memo, or saving a photo from a note. Anything you capture or add this way is treated the same as any other note content: stored on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, synced to your own iCloud account.
No Accounts, No Sign-In: Notes n More does not require you to create an account or sign in with Apple, Google, or any other service. The App has no knowledge of your identity beyond what your device's iCloud account already handles automatically and privately, entirely outside my visibility.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
To be explicit about what this App does not do:
It does not use analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs of any kind.
It does not make network requests to any server I control — there is no backend for this App.
It does not collect your name, email address, device identifiers, or location.
It does not track your usage of the App, in the App or across other apps or websites.
3. How Your Information Is Used
Because your content never reaches me, I cannot use it for anything. Locally, the App uses your content only to provide the App's own functionality — displaying your notes and tasks, syncing them across your devices via your iCloud account, and showing calendar events you've chosen to display. If you contact me directly (for example, by email), I'll use the information you provide only to respond to you.
4. Sharing and Disclosure of Your Information
I do not sell, trade, or share your content or any information about you, because I never have access to it in the first place. The only party with access to your synced content is you, through your own iCloud account, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
5. Third-Party Services
The App relies on Apple's own frameworks and services:
iCloud Drive, to sync your content across your devices, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and your iCloud account settings.
EventKit (Calendar), used locally and only if you opt in, as described above.
The App does not integrate any other third-party service, SDK, or library.
6. Data Security
Your content's security is provided by your device's own protections (such as passcode/biometric lock and on-device encryption) and by Apple's iCloud infrastructure when sync is enabled. Since I never receive or store your content, there is no server-side copy of your data for me to secure — or that could be exposed in a breach of anything I control.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Your content stays on your device, and in your iCloud account if sync is enabled, for as long as you keep it there. You're in full control:
Deleting a note, task, or other item in the App removes it from your device and, if applicable, from your iCloud account the next time it syncs.
Deleting the App from your device removes its local data; content already synced to iCloud can be managed or removed from Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage on your device.
Because I have no copy of your content, there is nothing for me to retain or delete on your behalf.
8. Your Choices and Rights
Calendar, Camera, Microphone, and Photo Library access can be granted or revoked at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security on your device, or from your Mac's System Settings.
iCloud sync can be turned off at any time in your device's iCloud settings; the App will continue to work with content stored only locally on that device.
9. Children's Privacy
Notes n More is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information from any user. If you believe a child has used the App in a way that concerns you, please contact me using the details below.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date" above. I encourage you to review this policy periodically.
