NixTech ("we", "our", or "us") operates the NoteSift mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
## 1. Information We Collect
### 1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Full name
- Password (stored securely via Supabase Authentication)
### 1.2 User-Generated Content
When you use the App, you may upload or create:
- Documents (PDF, images, and other supported file types)
- Notes associated with documents
- Chat messages with the AI assistant
- Quiz answers and exam responses
### 1.3 Automatically Collected Information
We automatically collect certain information when you use the App:
- **Usage Data:** Feature usage counts (documents uploaded, quizzes generated, flashcards created, chat messages sent)
- **Analytics Data:** Screen views, feature interactions, and app performance metrics (via Google Firebase Analytics)
- **Crash Reports:** App crash logs and error reports (via Google Firebase Crashlytics)
- **Device Information:** Device type, operating system version, and app version
### 1.4 Subscription Information
If you purchase a subscription, payment processing is handled by Google Play and RevenueCat. We do not directly collect or store your payment card details. We receive:
- Subscription plan type
- Subscription status (active/expired)
- RevenueCat customer identifier
## 2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App
- Process and analyze your uploaded documents using AI services
- Generate summaries, quizzes, flashcards, and other study materials
- Track your usage against plan limits
- Send study reminder notifications (if enabled by you)
- Analyze app usage patterns to improve user experience
- Diagnose and fix technical issues
- Communicate with you about your account
## 3. Data Storage and Security
- **Authentication:** Managed by Supabase Authentication with secure password hashing
- **Data Storage:** Your data is stored on secure cloud servers provided by Supabase
- **Document Storage:** Uploaded documents are stored in Supabase Storage with access controls
- **Local Storage:** App preferences and authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using encrypted storage
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
## 4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

## 5. AI Processing
Your uploaded documents are processed by AI services to generate summaries, quizzes, flashcards, and chat responses. Document content is sent to AI providers solely for the purpose of generating these study materials. We do not use your document content to train AI models.
## 6. Data Retention
- Your account data and content are retained as long as your account is active.
- When you delete your account, all associated data (documents, quizzes, flashcards, chat history, notes, study sessions, and usage records) are permanently deleted from our servers.
- Uploaded document files are also removed from cloud storage upon account deletion.
- Analytics and crash data collected by Firebase are subject to Google's data retention policies.
## 7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- **Access** your personal data through the App
- **Delete** your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile screen
- **Manage** notification preferences within the App
- **Export** — contact us if you need a copy of your data
## 8. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.
## 9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
