Notes App: Notebook & Note
Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 16, 2026
Notes App: Notebook & Note is a notes app with notebook, checklist, reminder, and locked notepad features developed by Siversky Donets. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in our Android app.
This policy applies to the Notes App: Notebook & Note available on Google Play. Please read it carefully. By using our app, you agree to the practices described here.
We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information. Any data recovery operations are performed locally on your device.
This Privacy Policy describes the information we may collect, how we use it, and your rights. It complies with Google Play Developer Program Policies (including User Data and Data Safety), GDPR (for EU users), CCPA/CPRA (for California users), and CalOPPA.
Our app primarily works offline. Your notes, checklists, and other content are stored locally on your device.
We do not collect any type of personal data such as name, email, phone number, or location from you through the app.
The app stores your notes, checklists, reminders, and locked notes locally on your device. This data never leaves your device through our application unless you explicitly use features that require internet (like reminders or updates).
We may receive anonymous, aggregated technical information from third-party services (such as crash reports or analytics) that does not identify you personally.
Under GDPR, we process limited data (when the app connects to the internet) based on:
Legitimate interests — to provide app updates, send reminders (with your permission), improve stability via crash reporting, and show relevant ads.
Consent — for notifications, analytics, and personalized advertising where required.
You can withdraw consent at any time through device settings.
The app requests the following permissions, which are necessary for core features:
ACCESS_WIFI_STATE and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — To check network connectivity for features like in-app updates, push notifications for reminders, loading any cloud-synced elements (if enabled), or ad delivery. These help the app function smoothly without unnecessary battery drain.
INTERNET — Required for essential online features including in-app updates via Google Play, delivering reminders, showing advertisements, and using Firebase services for crash reporting and analytics. Without internet access, some features like notifications and updates will not work.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS — Allows the app to send push notifications for reminders, checklists, or important app updates. You can manage or disable notifications anytime in your device settings.
These permissions are standard for apps with reminder and online capabilities. You can review and revoke them in your Android device settings at any time. We only use them for the purposes described and do not access unnecessary data.
All your personal notes and app data are stored locally on your device using secure local storage mechanisms (such as Android Room database). This data does not leave your device through our app.
We do not store your notes on our servers. We implement reasonable security measures to protect any technical data processed through third-party SDKs. However, no system is completely impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We use several third-party libraries and SDKs to provide a better experience. Here is a detailed list with their purposes:
Gson (com.google.code.gson:gson) — Used to convert JSON data into objects and vice versa for handling API responses or configurations efficiently. Gson on GitHub
Flexbox (com.google.android.flexbox:flexbox) — Helps create responsive and dynamic user interfaces for better layout arrangement. Part of Android Jetpack.
Google Play App Update — Enables seamless in-app updates without leaving the app. Google Play Services
Firebase Services (Analytics, Firestore, Crashlytics, Messaging, Performance):
Firebase Analytics — Helps us understand app usage anonymously to improve the app.
Firebase Crashlytics — Automatically reports crashes to help us fix bugs quickly.
Firebase Messaging — Powers push notifications for reminders.
Firebase Performance — Monitors app performance.
Firestore — Used sparingly for any necessary backend operations (minimal). Firebase Privacy and Security | Google Privacy Policy
Jsoup — Used for parsing web content where needed (e.g., specific integrations).
Lottie — For smooth animations in the user interface.
We choose these libraries for reliability and minimal data use. Each follows its own privacy practices. Please review their policies via the links above.
The app shows ads through AdMob, AdX, and Facebook (Meta) Audience Network. These may use device identifiers and other non-personal data for ad personalization and measurement.
Analytics: Firebase Analytics provides anonymous insights into app usage.
We do not share your notes or personal content for advertising.

The app does not use traditional web cookies. Third-party SDKs (like ad networks and Firebase) may use device identifiers, advertising IDs, or similar technologies for functionality, analytics, and personalized ads. You can reset your advertising ID in Android settings.
Since we do not collect personal data, processing is limited to anonymous technical data from SDKs (e.g., device type for crash reports, ad performance). Your notes remain private on your device.
Local notes are kept as long as you keep them on your device. Technical/anonymous data from SDKs is retained according to each provider’s policy (e.g., Firebase).
To delete all data: Uninstall the app. This removes local data from your device.
The app offers in-app purchases and paid subscriptions.
All payments and subscriptions are handled safely by Google Play Billing. We do not collect, store, or see your payment details such as card information or Google account passwords.
Subscriptions: Renew automatically unless canceled before the next billing date. Manage or cancel anytime from your Google Play account settings. You keep premium features until the current period ends.
Purchase Information: Google may share limited, non-personal details (like subscription status) with us to unlock features.
Refunds & Cancellations: Handled through Google Play following their rules.
Third-Party Sharing: We do not share purchase information with others except as required by Google.
All in-app purchases follow Google Play Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
You have rights to:
Access: Request information about data we process (contact us).
Rectification and Deletion: Manage data via device settings or uninstall.
Objection/Restriction: Limit processing where applicable.
Data Portability: Limited due to local storage.
To exercise rights, contact us at the email below.
California residents may request:
To know what personal information we collect (limited/none in this case).
To delete personal information.
To opt-out of “sale” of personal information (we do not sell data).
We do not sell personal data.
Our app does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals as it primarily operates locally. You can manage ad tracking via device settings.
Any limited data sent to Firebase or ad providers may be transferred to the United States or other countries. Providers use standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
We design the app to avoid malware. Network usage is only for necessary features. We do not engage in unauthorized network activities.
The app may contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before use.
This app does not target or attract children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request to protect rights, safety, or comply with legal processes.
We may update this policy occasionally. The “Last Updated” date will change. We will notify users of material changes via the app or Play Store listing where possible. Continue using the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
