1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE
NotePilot: Sticky Notes & Quick Memos lets you create, edit, organize and keep personal notes in your browser. The free version stores notes locally. Optional Pro features include additional editing and presentation tools and folder-based synchronization through OneDrive or Google Drive for desktop.
2. NOTES AND PREFERENCES
The extension processes the text and formatting you voluntarily type or paste into your notes, together with modification dates, note names, order and presentation preferences. These are saved in the extension's local storage so that they remain available between sessions.
NotePilot does not automatically extract the content of websites you visit or build a browsing history. Typing, click and drag events operate the notepad; they are not used to produce browsing analytics or advertising profiles.
NotePilot does not send note contents to NotePilot Studio servers or to its license-verification service. If you voluntarily email notes or other information for support, we use that information to address your request.
3. OPTIONAL ONEDRIVE OR GOOGLE DRIVE SYNCHRONIZATION
With Pro, you can choose a folder on your computer and grant read/write access. NotePilot saves a sticky-notes.txt file containing notes and preferences in that folder. If the folder belongs to OneDrive or Google Drive for desktop, the desktop application synchronizes the file with your cloud storage and other computers.
NotePilot does not request your Google or Microsoft password or connect directly to their APIs to synchronize notes. These services are also subject to their providers' own policies. The note file does not include ExtensionPay authentication keys.
The sticky-notes.txt file is readable as text. NotePilot does not add its own encryption to this file. Access depends on your device, folder permissions and chosen cloud provider.
4. PRO, PAYMENTS AND LICENSING
Pro purchase and restoration take place on pages hosted by ExtensionPay and the payment services it uses, including Stripe. These providers may process the purchaser's email address, transaction data and payment details entered on their pages. NotePilot does not request or store your full card number.
The extension uses the locally bundled ExtensionPay SDK to obtain payment and license status. The SDK may receive the purchaser's email address and license-related dates. It retains a technical identifier or access key, an installation date and the user-status response to activate, restore and verify Pro. License requests use HTTPS and do not include your note text.
The SDK uses chrome.storage.sync for its license data, with local-storage fallback. If Chrome synchronization is enabled, that storage may synchronize according to your browser settings. This is separate from note synchronization through a OneDrive or Google Drive folder.
No NotePilot account is required to use Free. Buying or restoring Pro may require an email address and authentication through ExtensionPay. External providers may receive technical connection data when you use their services, subject to their own practices.
5. PERMISSIONS
storage saves notes, preferences and license data. alarms supports periodic checks of the authorized folder and license status. activeTab and scripting allow the local notepad component to be made available in the selected tab when you use the icon or shortcut.
The local NotePilot component is registered on HTTP and HTTPS pages to display the panel and restore its visibility after a page reload. The interface uses an extension iframe. Access to extensionpay.com supports payment, restoration and Pro verification. These permissions are not used to collect a browsing history or automatically read the content of visited websites.
6. USE AND SHARING
Data is used to save and manage your notes, apply your preferences, perform synchronization you authorize, verify Pro and answer support requests. We do not sell user data, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness or provide loans. The extension does not incorporate a usage-analytics service.
Data is shared only with providers needed for the functions you use, as described above, or where required by applicable law. The use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
7. RETENTION AND DELETION
Notes and preferences remain in the configured storage until you change or delete them. You can manage and delete notes in the extension. Use Stop syncing and revoke folder access where appropriate to disconnect synchronization.
Uninstalling the extension does not automatically delete note files in OneDrive, Google Drive, other folders, backups or trash. To remove these copies, stop synchronization and delete the files through the relevant service or device as well.
Purchase records and information retained by ExtensionPay, Stripe, Microsoft, Google or your email provider follow those providers' policies and applicable obligations. Support correspondence may be retained while needed to handle a request or comply with applicable obligations.
8. CONTACT AND CHANGES
