This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application Notepad Memos Note: Easy Notes (the "App") handles information. This Policy is written to help users understand our practices and to support compliance with Google Play Developer Program Policies, including requirements related to User Data, Data safety disclosures, and transparency about collection, use, sharing, and security of personal and user-generated content.
1. Who We Are
The App is a personal productivity tool that allows users to create notes, organize notes into folders, create tasks, search content, and share text using the device share features provided by Android.

2. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies only to the App named Notepad Memos Note: Easy Notes, available through Google Play under the package identifier com.notepad.color.note.sticky.notes.
It covers information that may be created, stored, or processed when you install and use the App on an Android device. It does not cover third-party websites, apps, or services that you may open through Android system features (for example, when you choose to share text to another app such as email, messaging, or social apps). Those third parties have their own privacy policies.
3. Strong Summary Justification (Google Play Alignment)
The App is designed as a local-first, offline note and task application. The core product purpose is to let users write and manage their own content on their own device. Because of that design choice, the App is built to minimize privacy risk.
In the current published version of the App, the following privacy justifications apply:
- No declared dangerous Android permissions. The App does not request camera, microphone, contacts, location, phone state, SMS, call logs, nearby devices, or photos and media access. This is intentional. Those permissions are not required for the App's declared core functionality of creating and managing notes and tasks locally.
- No declared INTERNET permission in the App manifest. The App is not designed to upload notes, tasks, folders, or personal content to our servers. Local storage is the primary storage model.
- User content stays on the device by default. Notes, folders, and tasks are stored in the App's local database on the user's device. We do not operate a cloud account system inside the App for syncing this content to our own backend.
- No advertising SDK is used for the purpose of profiling users. The App does not integrate advertising networks that collect advertising identifiers for interest-based advertising in the current version.
- No analytics SDK is used to track user behavior in the current version. We do not currently use third-party analytics packages to collect usage events, crash reports, or behavioral profiles from the App.
- Sharing is user-initiated and handled by Android. If a user chooses Share, the Android system share sheet opens and the user selects the destination app. That action is controlled by the user, not by silent background transfer to our servers.
These design decisions support Google Play expectations that apps should only collect and use data that is necessary for the stated feature set, should disclose practices accurately in Data safety, and should not mislead users about privacy.
4. Information We Do Not Collect
To the best of our knowledge and based on the current App architecture, we do not collect, transmit, or sell the following categories of data for our own business purposes:
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account credentials entered into a developer-operated account system (the App does not provide developer-operated user accounts)
- Precise or approximate location data
- Contacts, call logs, or SMS messages
- Camera images or microphone audio recordings
- Advertising ID for our advertising or remarketing
- Health, fitness, financial, payment card, or government ID information as part of App features
- Biometric identifiers
- Web browsing history outside the App
If a user writes sensitive information inside a note or task (for example, a password, medical detail, or financial detail), that text is treated as user-generated content stored locally by the App. We do not request such content, and we do not upload it to our servers in the current version. Users should avoid storing highly sensitive secrets in plain text notes if they are concerned about device-level access by others who can unlock the device.
5. Information Processed on Your Device
The App processes information that you create or that is required for basic operation of the App on your device. This processing happens locally unless you choose to share content through another app.
5.1 User-generated content
Examples of content you may create:
- Note titles and note body text, including rich-text formatting such as bold, italic, underline, colors, links, alignment, and lists
- Folder names and relationships between notes and folders
- Task text and task completion status
- Timestamps related to creation or updates of notes and tasks
- Optional note color values used for display in the App interface
Purpose and justification: This content is necessary to provide the App's core functionality. Without storing note and task content locally, the App cannot fulfill its declared purpose as a notepad and task manager. This is user content created by the user, for the user, on the user's device.
5.2 App preferences and local technical state
The App may store limited local settings or runtime state needed for interface behavior (for example, layout preferences or temporary UI state). This information is used only to operate the App as expected.
Purpose and justification: Local preferences improve usability and are a standard and expected part of Android applications. They are not sold and are not used for advertising profiling in the current version.
5.3 Text shared into the App by the user
The App can receive plain text that the user intentionally shares into the App from another Android app (Android ACTION_SEND for text/plain). When that happens, the received text can be placed into a note so the user can save it.
Purpose and justification: This is a user-initiated convenience feature. The App does not scrape content from other apps in the background. The user chooses what text to send into the App.
6. How Information Is Stored
User notes, folders, and tasks are stored in a local database on the device using Android Room storage associated with the App's private application storage area.
Purpose and justification: Local storage allows the App to work offline, preserve user content between sessions, and avoid requiring an online account. This approach reduces the privacy surface area compared with cloud-synced note apps that upload content to remote servers.
Important device-level realities that users should understand:
- Anyone with unlocked access to the device and the App may be able to view content stored in the App.
- If the device is rooted, compromised by malware, or if backups are enabled through the operating system or manufacturer tools, App data may be included in those backups according to Android and device settings outside our direct control.
- Uninstalling the App generally removes App-private data from the device, subject to Android backup restore behavior and any copies the user previously exported or shared.
7. How Information Is Used
We use locally processed App data only for the following purposes:
- To create, display, edit, search, organize, and delete notes and tasks
- To maintain folders and note organization
- To support undo and redo and rich-text editing while composing notes
- To allow the user to share note text through the Android share sheet when the user chooses Share
- To allow the user to share information about the App through the Settings share action when the user chooses that action
We do not use App content for advertising, for selling personal information, for building marketing profiles, or for training third-party artificial intelligence models.
8. Sharing of Information
8.1 We do not sell personal information
We do not sell user notes, tasks, folders, or personal information. We do not rent or trade such information.
8.2 User-initiated sharing
If you use Share for a note or Share App from Settings, Android opens a system chooser. You decide which destination app receives the content. After you confirm sharing, the destination app and its developer become responsible for that content under their own terms and privacy policy.
Justification: Sharing is an expected productivity feature. The App only prepares the text for sharing when you ask it to. The App does not silently broadcast your notes to other apps or to our servers.
8.3 Service providers and developers
In the current version, the App does not rely on third-party analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or cloud sync SDKs that would receive your note content. If that changes in a future version, this Privacy Policy and the Google Play Data safety form will be updated before those practices begin.
8.4 Legal requirements
Because we do not operate a cloud copy of your notes in the current version, we generally do not hold a remote database of your note content that could be produced in response to a legal request. However, if we later store any account or support communications that you voluntarily send to us by email, we may retain that correspondence as needed to respond to you or to comply with applicable law.
9. Permissions and Google Play Data Safety Justification
Google Play requires developers to declare how apps collect and share data and to justify use of sensitive permissions. The current App version is intentionally designed to avoid sensitive permissions.
Current permission posture:
- No CAMERA permission, because the App does not capture photos
- No RECORD_AUDIO permission, because the App does not record audio
- No location permissions, because the App does not use location features
- No contacts, SMS, call log, or phone permissions
- No photos and videos or music and audio media permissions for accessing the shared media library
- No POST_NOTIFICATIONS declaration for reminder notifications in the current version
- No INTERNET permission declaration for uploading App content to our servers in the current version
Strong policy justification: Google Play policies require that permissions and data access be limited to what is necessary to implement existing features that are prominently disclosed to users. By removing features that previously required microphone, camera, storage, and notification access, the App now aligns more tightly with a narrow, local notepad and task purpose. This reduces privacy risk and reduces the chance of a Data safety mismatch.
For Google Play Data safety declarations, the accurate current description is that the App primarily processes user-generated content on-device, does not collect that content to developer servers, and does not share it with third parties except when the user independently chooses to share through Android.
10. Children and Families
The App is a general productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer-operated online account system, because the App does not provide such accounts in the current version.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through support email or another channel, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete that information from our support records where applicable.
Parents and guardians who allow a child to use the device should supervise device access, because notes stored locally can be viewed by anyone who can unlock the device and open the App.
11. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to a local Android application. Content is stored in App-private storage managed by the operating system. However, no method of electronic storage is completely secure.
Users should understand the following security realities:
- Device lock screen protection (PIN, password, pattern, or biometrics) is an important safeguard for local note content
- Shared or borrowed devices increase the risk that another person may read local notes
- Malware, rooted devices, debugging access, or physical access to an unlocked device can compromise local data
- If you share a note to another app, security then depends on that destination app and service
Justification: Google Play expects developers to handle user data securely and to be honest about limitations. Because the App is local-first, the strongest practical protection is a combination of OS sandboxing and the user's own device security practices.
12. Data Retention and Deletion
Local App content remains on the device until you delete it inside the App or uninstall the App, subject to Android backup and restore behavior.
You can control your content in these ways:
- Delete individual notes or tasks inside the App
- Delete folders inside the App
- Clear App storage from Android system settings
- Uninstall the App
If you email us for support, we may retain the email conversation for as long as needed to handle your request and for legitimate record-keeping, then delete or archive it according to ordinary business practice and applicable law.
13. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information, such as rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain information about processing. Because the App stores your notes and tasks locally, the most direct way to exercise control over that content is on your device through the App and Android settings.

14. International Users
The App may be downloaded by users in different countries through Google Play. Because content remains on the user's device in the current version, cross-border transfer of note content by us generally does not occur. If you contact us by email, your message may be processed on systems located in the country where we operate support.
15. Third-Party Services Opened by the User
The App may open or hand off content to third-party apps only when you initiate an action such as Share. Examples include email apps, messaging apps, social apps, or other apps shown in the Android share sheet. Those services are independent. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not by this Policy.
Google Play itself is operated by Google LLC. Installation, updates, ratings, and Play Store account activity are governed by Google's terms and privacy policy.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App's features, permissions, SDKs, or data practices change, or when legal or Google Play requirements change. When we update this Policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top.
If a future version of the App begins collecting data remotely, adds sensitive permissions, adds advertising or analytics SDKs, or otherwise materially changes privacy practices, we will update:

- The Google Play Data safety form
- In-app disclosures where required
Continued use of the App after an update means you should review the revised Policy to understand the then-current practices.
17. Google Play Policy Commitment
We intend this App and this Policy to comply with applicable Google Play Developer Program Policies, including but not limited to:
- User Data policies requiring prominent disclosure and accurate representation of data practices
- Requirements that Data safety declarations match actual App behavior
- Restrictions against deceptive behavior and undeclared data collection
- Permission requirements that sensitive permissions must be limited to user-facing, disclosed functionality
- Policies against selling personal and sensitive user data
