This Privacy Policy describes how NoteMaster (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the NoteMaster mobile application (the “App”).
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Summary
NoteMaster is a **local-first notes application**. Notes you create are stored **only on your device**. We do **not** operate a backend that receives your notes, and this version of the App does **not** require an account.
2. Information we store on your device
When you use the App, the following information may be stored **locally on your device**:
- Note title and note content
- Note category (for example: Work, Personal, Ideas, Other)
- Pin and archive status
- Created and last-updated timestamps
- Locally generated note identifiers
This data is saved using on-device storage (AsyncStorage / device storage). **We do not upload your notes to our servers.**
We do **not** collect:
- Name, email address, phone number, or account credentials for app use
- Contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or precise location for notes features
- Payment or financial information
- Advertising IDs for ads (this version has no advertising SDK)
- Analytics events from third-party analytics SDKs (this version has none)
3. No account / no sign-in
You do not need to create an account or sign in to use NoteMaster. We do not collect personal profile information for cloud syncing in this version.
4. How we use information
Local note data is used solely to provide App features on your device, including:
- Creating, editing, searching, pinning, archiving, and deleting notes
- Showing categories and last-edited times
- Displaying light/dark appearance based on your system settings
We do not sell your personal information or note content.
5. Sharing of information
We do **not** share your notes or personal information with third parties for advertising, analytics, or data brokerage.
If you use the App’s **“Share App”** feature, the device’s system share sheet may open so you can share a store link or message with an app of your choice. That sharing is controlled by you and by the apps you select; we do not receive the content of that share.
If you email us for support, you may voluntarily send information such as your email address and message content. We use that only to respond to your request.
6. Analytics and advertising
This version of NoteMaster does **not** include third-party analytics SDKs or advertising SDKs that track your note content or user behavior for ads.
7. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because notes stay on-device and we do not operate a collection backend for notes, we do not receive children’s note content on our servers.
8. Data retention and deletion
Notes remain on your device until you delete them in the App or remove the App / clear the App’s data using your device settings.
Uninstalling NoteMaster or clearing app storage will remove locally stored notes from that device. Because we do not host your notes on our servers, there is no cloud copy for us to delete.
9. Security
We design the App so notes remain on your device. Device security (screen lock, OS updates, etc.) is important to protect local data. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure; please protect your device accordingly.
10. Third-party services and stores
The App may be distributed through Google Play or other app stores. Those platforms have their own privacy policies and practices that govern how they handle information related to downloads, purchases, and store accounts.
11. International users
Your notes are processed and stored on your device. We do not transfer your note content to our servers.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy. Material changes may also be noted in the App or store listing when appropriate.
