NotBuk is a New Tab notebook. Notes are stored on your device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information.
Note content you type or paste into the editor
Formatting and simple lists you apply
Optional snippets you add via the “Add to Notbuk Tab” context menu
Local preferences (e.g., theme)
No account, email, or identifiers
No analytics, tracking, telemetry, or ads
No cookies
No data sent to our servers (there are none)
Stored in chrome.storage.local only (on your device). It is not synchronized unless your browser vendor independently syncs extension storage (we do not request storage.sync).
storage: Save notes and preferences locally
contextMenus: Show the right‑click “Add to Notbuk Tab” item when text is selected
activeTab + scripting: On your explicit click, read the current selection as HTML to append it to your local note (one‑time, current tab only; no persistent content scripts)
Sanitization: When rendering saved content, event handlers and unsafe attributes are removed to prevent script execution.
External media you paste or append (e.g., images, links) may be loaded by your browser directly from their original hosts when the New Tab page displays them. The extension does not proxy, modify, or track those requests.
Edit or delete notes any time from the New Tab editor.
Uninstalling the extension removes its stored data.
We do not retain copies of your data.
NotBuk does not target children and does not collect personal information.
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be published with a version update.
Use the “Support” section on the Chrome Web Store listing to reach us. Include your Chrome version, OS, and steps to reproduce any issue.
