Nosy Trap ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our application available on Google Play.

1. How it workS

a. Camera

Nosy Trap uses the camera permission to take pictures when a wrong password, PIN code, or lock pattern is entered.
Nosy Trap will not take pictures at any other times, unless other specific features have been enabled by you in the app.
Pictures are emailed to you if the email function is enabled in Nosy Trap settings. See the Email section below for more details.
Otherwise, pictures and videos are stored only on your device and are not shared with the developer or any third party.

b. Location

If enabled in the settings, Nosy Trap finds your device's location in the background when it takes a picture.
Nosy Trap will not access your location at any other time.
The location is saved with the picture and emailed to you if the email function is enabled.
Your location data is not shared with the developer or any third party.

c. Email

Nosy Trap asks you to sign in with your Gmail account and grant permission to 'send emails on your behalf'. This avoids sending sensitive data through third-party servers. To revoke this permission, visit myAccountPermissions.This does not grant Nosy Trap access to read your emails, manage contacts, or perform other actions. Emails are only sent to the address specified in the 'Send email to' setting and only when specific conditions are met, which you specify in the app. You can always see in your Gmail account which emails Nosy Trap has sent.Your email address is not shared with the developer or any third party.

2. third-party sevices

Nosy Trap uses trusted third-party services that may collect limited, anonymized data for analytics and advertising.

a. Firebase (by Google)

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used and improve its performance.

Collected data may include:

Device type and operating system
Crash reports and usage data
IP address (temporarily used for region detection)

b. Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to show ads within the app.

AdMob may collect :

Advertising ID
Approximate location
Interactions with ads

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information. Data collected by Firebase and AdMob is subject to Google’s privacy practices.

4. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no system can be completely secure.

5. User Rights & Data Deletion

Since Nosy Trap does not store user accounts or collect personal data directly, we do not retain user-identifiable information.

6. Children’s Privacy

Nosy Trap is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
