                                                                 World Read Aloud Day 

On Wednesday, February 4th, Norwood students celebrated World Read Aloud Day with guest authors from Pakistan to California. The authors joined us via Zoom throughout the day, sharing their stories and experiences. We purchased books written by all our special guests for class giveaways and for our school library. 

Read Across America 

Norwood celebrated reading throughout March. We kicked off the activities with a school-wide Reading Train and a reading themed Spirit Week. Throughout the month, over 100 students in Grades 4-8  demonstrated their love of literature by reading  to our Pre-K through 3rd grade classes.

Author Visits

On May 28, author Anna Kang and illustrator Christopher Weyant will be visiting Norwood to share their stories with our Pre-K through 2nd-graders.  And just two weeks later, on June 10, Mike Dawson will bring his new Graphic Novel  The Hidden Dominion of Geordie James to our 3rd  & 4th grade students.
