Northwestern Field Day
Jumpstart at Northwestern University Field Day 2025
Field Day is a fantastic end-of-year Jumpstart celebration where different Jumpstart sites either come to our location or we travel to theirs. It's a wonderful opportunity for us to provide fun and engaging activities that celebrate the relationships we've built throughout the year. We often have outside volunteers join us to make the day even more special.

Wednesday, May 28th 2025 - HOWARD AREA
Time: 10AM - 11:30AM
Location: Norris South Lawn
Activities: 8 stations!
Thursday May 29th, 2025 - LEARNING BRIDGE
Time: 10AM-11:30AM
Location: Learning Bridge outdoor playlot
Activities: 8 stations!
Friday May 30th, 2025 - GALE COMMUNITY ACADEMY
Time: 9:45am - 11:30am
Location: Norris South Lawn
Activities: 8 stations!
Campus Guests: Evanston Northwestern University Fire Truck
On-Campus Field Day Schedule - Wednesday, May 28th
10:00 AM: Greet students from the bus at Norris University Center South Lawn.
10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Campus tour, station orientation, and welcoming activities.
We'll walk students towards the bridge to see the fountains and lake, then a little further onto the lakefill, before returning to the South Lawn.
As part of this tour, we'll briefly introduce and walk through each station with the children so they know what exciting activities are available.
10:30 AM: Our special Campus Guest arrives!
10:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Stations open for play and interaction with our campus guest.
11:00 AM – 11:15 AM: Bathroom break and snack (we'll use the Norris first floor bathrooms, which are conveniently close. We'll provide small water bottles and individually packaged goldfish crackers for the children).
11:15 AM – 11:30 AM: Parachute play: We'll engage the children in a fun group activity using a large parachute, creating waves, domes, and playing games like "popcorn"!
11:30 AM: Walk students to the bus.
