Hey there, amazing youth workers and changemakers!
Are you ready to level up your skills and create learning experiences that not only stick but make a lasting impact? This ERASMUS+ mobility is your chance to design transformative, intentional learning journeys that will shape the futures of the young people you serve.
Get ready to immerse yourself in frameworks like the neuroscience of learning, Self-Determination Theory, and human-centered design. We'll explore together the tools to craft learning experiences that inspire and empower, not just for the moment, but for life. Picture yourself designing journeys that help young people thrive, adapt, and truly take ownership of their growth!
And here’s the best part: You won’t just be learning theory. You’ll be working on real programs: whether you’re creating a new one, redesigning an existing one, or giving a fresh perspective to a module that needs a reboot. If you’ve got a program in mind, this is your golden opportunity to get feedback and hands-on support to make it even better.
Let’s make this journey unforgettable together. Ready to take the leap?

You (or your organization) must be open-minded, playful, and curious about experimenting with new ideas and directions.
Joining a virtual Kick-off session (1h) to align on goals, expectations, and get a shared understanding of mobility.

🌐 Website: https://www.albatrospodul4.ro/
🏨 Accommodation conditions:
Participants will stay in double rooms, in a hotel on the bank of the Danube river, with generous outdoor space and access to the beach. Each room has its own bathroom, a small fridge, a TV and air conditioner.❗️Please note that room layouts will vary, and there is a high chance you might need to share a large double bed with another participant of the same gender. Each double bed will have two single-person size blankets for individual comfort.
Smoking is forbidden 🚭 in the rooms and in the common spaces inside the buildings. Smokers can use the balconies, the terraces, and the spaces outside the buildings. Free Wi-Fi will be available in all individual rooms, as well as in the activity room and on the beach. The hotel also has a free gym.
🍽️ Food: We will have breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant of the hotel. The menu will be based on each individual's dietary needs, as stated in the application form.
🧳 What to bring: Reusable water bottle so we can cut down as much as possible the plastic waste, cosmetics (shampoo, shower gel etc.), flip flops, beach towels, sunscreen, and anything else you might want to bring to the beach, mosquito repellent spray or lotion given the close proximity to the Danube river.
❗️If you need anything beyond what is provided for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, we will organize occasional trips to the nearest big supermarket, which is a 9-minute drive away. These shopping trips will occur every 2 days, and each national group will select a member to join the project team on these trips. Please note that the shop is not within walking distance.
TRANSPORTATION FROM AIRPORT TO THE PICK-UP POINT
📍Pick-up point: A private bus rented for the whole group will pick us up from Piața Constituției, Bucharest (Parking lot in front of Palace of Parliament) on the 6th of June at 18:00. This bus will take us directly to Albatros Complex.
🚌 Day Bus: To reach the pick-up point, from Henri Coandă Airport you need to take bus 100 to Piața Unirii (the last station which is less than 10 minutes walking distance from our pick up point in Piața Constituției). You can follow the signs in the airport which will take you to the bus station. The bus station is right as you exist the airport - you don’t have to walk to get to it.
Best option! You can buy your ticket from the machine located in the bus station using both cash and card. The cost of one trip is 3 RON (0.60 EUR). This price is the same regardless of how many stations you travel. This way, you will receive a receipt that will allow us to reimburse you the cost of your trip (as long as you do not throw the receipt away).
You can pay for the trip directly in the bus contactless by using Mastercard or Visa. Although this is the easiest option, the issue is that you will not receive a receipt, therefore we can not reimburse you the 0.60 EUR spent for the trip.
IMPORTANT: However you choose to pay for your trip, please make sure to buy your ticket because there are high chances for a control❗️
IMPORTANT: We do not cover taxi or private car (such as Uber or Bolt). Also, please keep in mind that we strongly recommend you to avoid cabs from airport.
IMPORTANT: For those who want to explore Bucharest or any other parts of Romania, please consider coming 2 days before the mobility or staying 2 days longer after, on your own expenses.
ABOUT DEAR FUTURE SELF ASSOCIATION (HOSTING ORGANISATION)
DEAR FUTURE SELF ASSOCIATION is a youth not-for-profit organisation created in early 2022, at the initiative of an enthusiastic and passionate team of youth workers, youth leaders and volunteers from Calarasi, Romania. We design learning experiences focused on personal growth, essential skills development and we facilitate creative processes where young people can explore their potential and talents, organically grow and be engaged in a lifelong learning process.
After years of wondering, growing, discovering, and learning in non-formal environments, the founders of Dear Future Self Association wanted to bring for the first time in their community the opportunities that they were looking for while they were in the phase of transition from adolescence to adulthood. In a region characterized as a civic desert where non-formal education approaches and innovative methods of learning are inexistent, we aim to create a learning climate that empowers young people to improve their self-esteem, self-awareness and to become actively engaged in the development of their community. Dear Future Self Association is the space where creative minds become the leaders of next generations ready to face any challenges of the future.
