Our Purpose
North Side Community Mask Drive is a community wide effort to collect child size respirator masks, child size surgical masks, and cleaning supplies and distribute them to local neighborhood schools facing urgent need. Please share what you can as soon as possible: either from existing inventories or by purchasing items for donation.
Items can be dropped off in a marked bin at Edge of Sweetness, Dice Dojo, or shipped to/dropped off at Church of Atonement, Chicago.
Current Needs
Child size N95/KN95/KF94 masks (also accepting adult sized masks for older kids)
Child sized surgical masks
Clorox/Disinfecting wipes
Hand Sanitizer
How It Started
This effort was started in January 2022 as a direct response to needs facing local schools. While we continue to advocate for CPS to deliver on agreed upon safety supplies, delays in delivery of child sized masks have led to immediate needs that we seek to address through this mutual aid effort. We look forward to working together to help our kids get masks, our schools get supplies, and supporting our community! Please email NSCommunityMasks@gmail.com with any questions or if you would like to help amplify, join our efforts, or receive supplies. We humbly ask that you stay tuned and help by donating what you can now!
