Elana Dower is the founder of North Quabbin Nature and the Arts, and the main instructor of the lesson studio.

Originally from the heart of NYC, Elana grew up in an atmosphere rich with the arts and culture. Coming from a multi-ethnic family and growing up in a diverse neighborhood in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, Elana has worked with people in fine arts, theater, publishing and education.  

Today, she is not only a professional artists, she is also a student of botany, art therapy and fine arts, and is currently in her 8th year homeschooling her two daughters who are also her art students! She is passionate about education and building opportunities for the arts in the North Quabbin area through her non-profit organization.

She believes that the arts are integral to a healthy thriving community.  Whether it be painting, theater or photography, Elana believes that art tells a story of who we are, where we come from and where we may go. It makes the individual feel seen, encourages confidence and allows for creative risk taking. It brings people together,  and can be integral to personal wellness. Art inspires people of all ages to be curious, to create something new, play and grow.
