Room PARENT / PARTY SIGN-UPS

Welcome to Northpoint Room Parent Sign-Ups!

Please sign-up to help with your students' classroom parties below.  Similar to last year -- we are asking for one room parent and 3-4 additional parent volunteers at each classroom party.    NOTE – We are asking parents to only sign up for ONE SLOT (room parent or volunteer) in order to give all families a chance to participate.  After September 15th, parents may sign up for any remaining slots.   Please sign up by Sunday, September 22, 2024 if you want to attend the informational meeting in early October.

What do Room Parents do?   

This committee of 2-4 individuals works together to plan classroom parties and support the teacher throughout the year.  If you want to sign-up to be a “Room Parent”, you will sign-up as a party coordinator.   

Room parent responsibilities include:  

• Party planning -- Consult teacher on chosen party, work with party donation volunteers to plan events and gather supplies.   

• Help at parties – Room parents will be the lead volunteer during one chosen party.  

• Traditional teacher gifts/recognitions - Room parents plan for and coordinate gifts and recognitions for the teacher during the year -- birthday, winter holiday, Teacher Appreciation Week (May) or end-of-year.

• Help the teacher highlight a wishlist or classroom needs for parents to fulfill

• Provide pick-me up surprises for the teacher - just because

• Any other support the teacher requests
  
  

What do Party Volunteers do?

Each party will have 4 other classroom volunteers and supply donors.  Duties will include the following:

• During-party volunteers – run games (2), craft, and snack

• Donate supplies for the party (before party) – paper products, drinks
