FALL SHOW AUDITIONS 

Christopher Sergel's "The Outsiders": October 2, 2025 (Rehearsals are 2-4:15 every Thursday and Fridays beginning August 24)

Rebecca Feldman, Jay Reiss, William Finn, & Rachel Sheinkin "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee": October 24-26, 2024 (Rehearsals are 2-4:15 every Monday and Tuesday beginning August 24. Every day starting October 5)

Auditions will be Tuesday, August 18th from 2-3:15pm for The Outsiders and 3:15-4:30 for Spelling Bee

Callbacks will be Thursday, August 20th at 2-3:15pm for The Outsiders & 3:15-4:30 for Spelling Bee

Audition Requirements:

The Outsiders

-Prepare a 1-minute dramatic monologue. (All monologues must be from a published play and cannot be from a musical - DO NOT choose a monologue from The Outsiders)

25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

-Prepare 16-bars (30 seconds) of a musical theatre song of your choice in the style of Spelling Bee (You may not audition with a song from the musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee). You MUST have an instrumental only backing track. No acapella auditions are allowed.

You are dismissed once your audition is finished on August 18th.

All are expected to stay for the duration of time on August 20nd if you receive a callback.

Please Note: Rehearsal dates are non-negotiable - if you cannot commit, do not audition. 

Audition requirements:

-Read these carefully, be prepared and on time.

-Hair should be pulled back and out of your face.

-Dress appropriately, NO midriff or low cut shirts. You MUST wear pants, leggings, or a floor length skirt.

-Appropriate shoes are character shoes or jazz shoes. Flat shoes are fine if you do not own character or jazz

-Avoid any advisory material. An audition is like a job interview. Be professional.

-If auditioning for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, please wear comfortable dance attire. Be prepared to learn a dance combo.

-It is recommended that you read the script to the show you are auditioning for ahead of time.
