About the campaign
The climate emergency threatens to hit the poorest in our society hardest.
From the jobs we do, to the money we earn and the holidays we take - everything is at stake as we transition to a low carbon economy. But we know that it won't be the richest who make the sacrifices. It will be us, with less access to cheap flights, and rising unemployment as the carbon intensive industries, with good union jobs, wind down.
The North risks being left behind in the climate transition. But a new, free, green network of night trains and regional Eurostars for the North could change that!
We need new investment in our transport system, to kickstart a green revolution in the North, and to make sure we have access to cheap, low carbon holidays and foreign travel in the new green economy.
The climate emergency and the COVID-19 pandemic has shown that we need to invest to stop the climate crisis. A new public works programme investing in international train travel will create new, green jobs and investment opportunities for the North of the UK.
We all deserve a holiday, and we all deserve 1st class transport. Support our campaign for a new, free, eco night train and regional Eurostar network for the North!

Who we are
We are a grassroots campaign of volunteer trade unionists and labour activists, living in the North, who believe that we deserve a better, greener public transport system. And we're prepared to organise to get it.
