Founded in 2018 by David Broerman to promote plein air events and the supporting of new artists to plein air.  In 2023 the Northern Indiana Plein Air Artists Association became a corporation with 501c3 status.   Our ongoing programming includes our most popular, the public plein air paint outs.  Artists have the opportunity to paint at events on location throughout Northern Indiana and sell their masterpieces to the public in exhibitions. 

The Northern Indiana Plein Air Artists Association promotes new artists to plein air through workshops through out hte year, scheduled monthly events, as well as a weekly introductory gathering in June and July of each year. Considering many artists feel uncomfortable painting alone in secluded areas, we have scheduled social meet ups that allow artists to paint and collaborate together in a safe location.
