The Forest Hills Northern Trails PTO is a parent teacher organization supporting the Forest Hills Northern Trails School in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a 501(c)3 we bring together parents, teachers and staff to enhance the learning together to create the best possible learning environment for our students through programs, events, and community involvement. We believe that when families and schools partner, students thrive.

How We Support Our School
Throughout the year, the PTO provides:
Teacher & Classroom Funds – funding provided to all teachers for supplies and enrichment of their classroom.
Events – like the Trails Trek, Book Fairs, International Fair, Talent Show, Class parties, and grade-level mix and mingles.
Volunteer Opportunities – making it easy for families to get involved.
Staff Appreciation & Conference Meals – showing gratitude for our incredible teachers and staff.
Student Enrichment – funding recess, PBIS, Field Trip transportation, and Snack Shack & Trading Post supplies.

Meetings are every 4th Thursday of the month rotating between 9am and 6:30pm at Northern Trails.
You don’t have to be a board member to make a difference! Every parent, guardian, and teacher is a member of the PTO. Whether you want to help lead, volunteer at events, support when you can, or simply stay informed, there’s a place for everyone in our PTO community.
