Tribute donations
The Town of Northborough Scholarship Fund is now accepting tribute donations. Your charitable contribution to the Fund can be made "in honor of" or "in memory of" a specific person who holds a special place in your heart. Alumni or parents of alumni are invited to make a tribute donation honoring their alma mater, an educator or coach who made a difference, or honoring a graduating class.
Your donation will support scholarships awarded to Northborough high school senior students taking their next steps on their educational journey. Join us in celebrating your loved one's life while creating opportunities for Northborough students.
Here is additional information:
Donors who make donations of $1000+ will be offered the opportunity to suggest specific criteria that reflects the honoree. For example, if you are honoring a person who was a teacher, you may want the scholarship to be awarded to a student studying education. Or, if you are celebrating the life of someone who battled cancer, you may want the scholarship to be awarded to a student studying science.
The Scholarship Committee will review applications and award decisions in alignment with the eligibility criteria established by the Committee.
Donations are accepted year round, however, for donations to be considered for the Class of 2024, funds must be received no later than Friday, March 1, 2024
We are unable to honor requests or receive donations for plaques or any other permanent memorial elements.
We do not have a formalized planned giving program or legacy program in place. Donations are tribute donations to commemorate or celebrate a specific individual. A donation can be made in someone's name to celebrate a significant occasion or for their love and appreciation of the Town of Northborough.
We reserve the right to decline donations that do not align with the scholarship fund's mission or that may involve legal or ethical complications.
After completing and submitting this form, your donation must be submitted online or by mail to Scholarship Committee, Northborough Town Hall, 63 Main Street, Northborough, MA 01532. Please note where possible that the donation is a "tribute donation".
