Sneaker Recycling Fundraiser
Have sneakers that you or the kids no longer use or need? Here's an easy way to recycle them while supporting the Northborough Scholarship Fund!! Gather your running, basketball, gym and training, cleats (rubber only), hiking and casual sneakers. Drop them off at one of the locations listed on the flyer before Nov. 5. SNEAKERS ONLY PLEASE.
Reach into your closets, not your pockets.
GotSneakers, a social enterprise, will issue funds based on the quantity of gently worn, used and new sneakers collected.
The sneaker recycling program helps keep sneakers out of landfills, which has harmful effects on our environment. The EPA estimates that 200-300 million pairs of shoes are thrown into landfills each year.
Donation locations are:
PR Running, 18 Lyman Street, Westborough (near Tatnuck Bookstore)
HOTWORX, 318 Main Street, Northborough (Neighborhood Tavern plaza)
180 Rice Avenue, Northborough
147 Davis Street, Northborough
43 Ridge Road, Northborough (bin by front door)
THANK YOU!
The Scholarship Committee wishes to thank all of our supporters. The scholarship awards each year would not be possible without your generosity!
In early 2023, we partnered with Algonquin Regional High School and HB Printing in Northborough (located next to Hillside Grill) for a ARHS Class of 2023 graduation yard sign fundraiser. The signs came out fantastic (double sided, recyclable material and a quick turnaround time). We raised $1,739.
In November 2022, Jennifer MacNeil Photography held a mini-photo shoot and donated 100% of funds to the Scholarship Fund; a total of $1,000. This is a great kick-off to our fundraising events.
