Family and Consumer Sciences goes hand and hand in FCCLA. Family and Consumer Sciences involves the relationship between individuals, families, the community, and the environment in where we live. Family and Consumer Sciences is important for many possibilities like planning for your career, gain useful skills for getting employed, understanding nutrition and it's importance, obtain knowledge about childcare practices, parenting, positive communication, financial literacy, and resource management. These opportunities are also found within FCCLA. At North Lenoir High we are provided with a variety of FCS classes, such as housing, world foods, nutrition, career development, and child development.
