I am the owner of Norman Environmental Consultancy, and personally oversee all the work.  I am driven to help people meet their environmental requirements and achieve compliance in the most effective way.

I have worked in environmental compliance since 2011.  

I have a MSc in Geography from the University of Canterbury. I worked for Environment Canterbury and Central Plains Water prior to establishing my own business. I have monitored thousands of Resource Consents including Effluent, Water, Fish Screens, Wastewater Treatment/Discharge, and Works in Riverbed. I have a good understanding of what works for both consent holders and the regional council. 

Outside work, I am an avid scuba diver and snowboarder. I like hiking and have been exploring the beautiful mountains and bushes in Canterbury and sometimes other parts of New Zealand.

Alex grew up on a farm in Mid‑Canterbury and is an avid skier. She understands the importance of environmental management while achieving business goals.

She has a wide range of skills and a varied professional background. Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (Geography), and she has a strong understanding of resource management. She is a highly organised professional, and her skills in report writing—along with her understanding of businesses and communities—bring a unique perspective.

Her most recent position as a project administrator involved utilising software for monitoring, compliance, and management tools across environmental audits, health and safety, and human resources.

She loves to read, travel, and explore the natural wonders of the world.
