Nordisk Campingråd met on the 7th of November 2024 in Oslo to brief each other on the status of camping in their respective countries and to explore further ways to strengthen cooperation.

Kjell Ove Solbakken, the managing the director of the organisation Norsk Turistudvikling (Norwegian Tourism Development), was invited to talk about their ongoing INTERREG project, which focuses on camping development in Norway and Sweden. Specifically on how the camping industry can adapt to new products and new demands from new target segments while also having to face generational change with new owner. 

There was also a discussion on how the projekct can be expanded into other Nordic countries, where similar initiatives are needed. 

The representatives of the Nordic trade associations were excited about the project and want to support it as much as possible.
