Teaching has always been my passion. As far as I can remember, I was always the one itching to explain something that I had just learnt to my friends and peers. Yes, I was that kid!
My passion for teaching has led me out of a banking job, led me to Europe, Kenya, and the United States. I enrolled in and completed a Cognate in College Teaching, and have taught Middle school, High school and undergraduate students.
The only thing that matches my passion for teaching is my passion for engineering and combining these two (the need to understand and the need to explain), I hope to be a teacher who reaches beyond conventional methods to make the world of science a bit more accessible to his students.
I recognize the fact that the scholarship of teaching, science and research is continuously evolving. Hence, I do not consider any of the elements contained in this e-portfolio to be achievements, but instead, a summary of what I believe, what I have done, my triumphs and failures, and what I have learnt on my never-ending quest to becoming a better teacher. This e-portfolio, is my story.
