Padang Tembak:
Malaysian Armed Forces Museum
A gateway of Padang Tembak and re-establish the Malaysia Armed Force's historical identity value in Jalan Sultan Yahya Petra
A war museum is a sanctuary of peace where the relics of conflict are displayed; it serves to preserve the memory of destruction so that future generations may learn to cherish peace, revealing the irony that the celebration of peace is eternally intertwined with the commemoration of war. Yet, in an age where past conflicts may seem irrelevant to the new generation and the repetitive showcasing of old battles risks inducing a sense of boredom, the challenge remains to keep the lessons of history resonant and engaging. Establishment of Padang Tembak: Malaysian Armed Forces Museum as a multifaceted institution dedicated to promoting the historical significance of the Malaysian Armed Forces. By implementing a comprehensive building programme that includes interactive exhibits, educational workshops, community engagement initiatives, and a military archive, the centre aims to educate the public, raise awareness about the armed forces' contributions, and foster a renewed sense of belonging and pride among the communities
