Welcome to Noorly ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Noorly mobile application.
By using Noorly, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information You Provide
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name and email address.
Profile information: Display name you choose for your community profile.
2. Information Collected Automatically
Location data: We collect your GPS location to calculate accurate prayer times and Qibla direction. This data is used only for these calculations and is not stored on our servers permanently.
Step count data: We use your device's motion sensor to count your daily steps. This data is stored locally on your device and optionally shared within your community groups.
Usage data: Basic app usage statistics to improve performance.
3. Camera Access
Noorly requests camera access only for the food barcode scanning feature. We do not store, upload, or share any camera images.
We use the information we collect to:
Calculate accurate prayer times based on your location
Determine Qibla direction
Enable community features (groups, leaderboards, achievements)
Send prayer time notifications (Adhan alerts)
Send daily Quran reading reminders
Track your reading streaks and achievements
Improve the app's features and performance
Your account data is stored securely using Google Firebase, which complies with industry-standard security practices.
Location data is used in real-time and is not permanently stored on our servers.
We use encryption for all data transmission.
We never sell your personal data to third parties.
Noorly uses the following third-party services:
Google Firebase — Authentication & database
Aladhan API — Prayer times calculation
AlQuran Cloud — Quran text data
OpenWeatherMap — Weather data
Open Food Facts — Food nutrition data
Noorly accesses your location to calculate prayer times, find Qibla direction, and display local weather. We do not track your location in the background without your explicit permission.
Noorly sends the following notifications:
Prayer time alerts (Adhan) — 5 times per day
Daily Quran reading reminders — once per day
Achievement notifications — when you earn a badge
Fasting reminders (Suhoor and Iftar alerts)
You can disable any notifications in your device settings or within the app.
Noorly does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.
You have the right to access, correct, delete, and export your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@noorly.app
To delete your account: Open Noorly → Profile → Settings → Delete Account. All data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. You can also email support@noorly.app with the subject "Delete My Account".
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app.
How to Delete Your Noorly Account
Option 1 — Delete from the app:
Open Noorly
Tap Profile → Settings
Tap "Delete Account"
Confirm deletion
Option 2 — Email request: Send an email to support@noorly.app with the subject line: "Delete My Account" Include your registered email address in the message.
What gets deleted:
Your profile (name, email)
Your Quran reading progress and streaks
Your community group memberships
Your achievements and XP points
Your bookmarks and settings
What gets retained:
Anonymous usage statistics (no personal identifiers)
Deletion timeline: All personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days of your request.
