Nooriah is designed as a privacy-focused application.

We do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal data on external servers.

All user-generated data remains stored locally on your device.

Nooriah does not sell, trade, or rent users’ personal information to third parties.

3. Internet Access

Nooriah requires internet access to:

When connecting to third-party APIs, basic technical information such as your IP address may be automatically processed by those service providers. We do not control, store, or track this information.

4. Location Services

To provide accurate Prayer Times and Qibla Direction, Nooriah may request access to your device’s precise (GPS) or approximate location.

How it is used:

Your coordinates (latitude and longitude) are used solely to calculate prayer times relative to your location.

Data Handling:

Location data is processed locally on your device or sent anonymously to the Aladhan API to retrieve accurate prayer timings.

We do not store your location history on any server.

5. Local Storage

The following data is stored locally on your device:

• Progress (Last read position)
  
  

• Tasbih counters
  
  

If you uninstall the app or clear app data, this information will be permanently deleted. We cannot recover this data as we do not maintain any external backups.

Nooriah uses local notifications to provide:

• Daily Islamic wisdom
  
  

These notifications are scheduled and managed entirely by your device’s operating system.

We do not use remote push notification servers to track user interaction.

7. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to provide Islamic content:

• Aladhan API – For Prayer Times and Hijri calendar
  
  

• Quran & Hadith APIs – For religious texts and translations
  
  

• Google Gemini (Optional) – Used only if you choose to access AI-powered features. Queries submitted are processed according to Google’s privacy policies.
  
  

These services may process standard technical data (such as IP address) required to fulfill requests.

Nooriah does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.

If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
