Welcome to my website! This is Noorain Mukhtiar.
I am currently pursuing my PhD degree with international Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarship (iMQRES) at the School of Computing, Macquarie University, under the supervision of Distinguished Prof. Dr. Michael Sheng and co-supervision of Dr. Adnan Mahmood. Prior to joining Macquarie University, I completed my Bachelor’s in Electronic Engineering and Master’s in Electronic System Engineering at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan, where I graduated with distinction. My research interests include Fairness in Federated Learning, Distributed Machine Learning, Trustworthy AI, and the Internet of Things. My research has been published in top-tier (CORE A*) conferences, including AAAI, IJCAI, and WWW, and Q1-ranked journals, and has been recognized with the Macquarie University Research Rising Star Award. Besides this, I actively contribute to the research community as a Program Committee member, Technical Session Chair, and Volunteer for leading international conferences. I am also involved in teaching and mentoring, with experience in delivering lectures and tutorials.
