A glass of warm milk with saffron before bed is a ritual that most of the people follow to relieve anxiety. Lakshmi Narayan Dudhwala located in Chawni, Indore is famous for its Saffron Rabadi milk. The owner late Lakshmi Naryan started this shop in 1952 by borrowing 5 liters of milk and then setting up his own shop in Chawni and opened two outlets in Indore. One near Bengali square and the other near St. Paul school.
The speciality of the Kadhai used to make the saffron milk is that it weighs 150 kg and can also hold 150 liters of milk. The shop is now run by owner’s son and grandson. Tanmay Jain, the owner’s grandson has been working at the shop since the age of 7. During winters they sell double than what they sell in summers.
The outlet at Kanadia road is available on Zomato, but the outlet at Chawni is not available on Zomato.
They not only specialize in Saffron Rabadi milk but also offer Malai Dodha, Dudh Paak, Mawa Malai Ladoo, Rabadi, Kalakand, Doodh and Dahi. They offer two types of milk one is plane saffron milk which is of Rs. 35 and the other is saffron rabadi milk which is of Rs. 65.
