New Orleans Math Teachers Circle

Spring 2019 Events

  • The New Orleans Math Teachers Circle is an informal monthly program that brings teachers and mathematicians together to participate in stimulating and challenging activities. Through this collaborative process, teachers will have an opportunity to expand their mathematical horizons and develop a greater appreciation of mathematics. There will also be time for teacher-led open discussion on pedagogical and curricular issues. The Circle will be an opportunity to expand your network of fellow math enthusiasts who are passionate about math education.
  • We will be holding three events this spring, once we are finished winding down from Mardi Gras! Our events will take place on Saturdays from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM. Our events will be on March 9, 2019, April 13, 2019, and May 11, 2019. There is no cost to attend the meetings. Stipends will be awarded to the first 8 people to register for and attend each meeting. And we will provide lunch. So come join us for fun mathematics, fellowship with mathematical colleagues, and some tasty pizza to boot!
