At the heart of my practice is a love of making, materials and process.
What began as NoMothsAllowed has grown and evolved over the years, just as my own creative practice has.
Exploring fibre has taught me that the journey of making can be every bit as important as the finished piece — from the first handful of raw fibre to the final stitch.
Spinning, knitting, weaving, felting, crochet and dyeing each offer their own processes, rhythms and possibilities. I love exploring how materials change through our hands: fibre becomes yarn, yarn becomes fabric, colour transforms a surface, and individual strands gradually become something entirely new.
For me, making is about experimentation and discovery. It is about understanding materials, learning traditional skills, pushing them in new directions and sometimes simply seeing what happens.
Today, that journey continues through a creative collective built around making, sharing skills, exploring materials and celebrating the wonderfully slow process of creating something by hand.
From strands to woven ends — it has always been about the journey of making.
