Ncumisa, the dedicated owner of Nomase's Guesthouse, brings warmth and personal care to every guest's stay. With a background as a former magistrate, she transitioned into the hospitality industry to honor her late mother’s dream of creating a home for travelers.

Her journey into this business began with workshops organized by Cape Town Tourism and local organizations, where she gained valuable skills to manage and grow the guesthouse. Ncumisa is passionate about providing a comfortable and welcoming experience, ensuring each guest feels at home while enjoying the vibrant township atmosphere.

Driven by her mother’s vision and her commitment to community values, Ncumisa remains engaged in every aspect of the guesthouse, from managing bookings to maintaining a cozy and peaceful environment. Her dedication and care have made Nomase's Guesthouse a beloved destination for both local and international travelers.

Nomase's Guesthouse was born out of a heartfelt vision by Ncumisa's mother, who dreamed of turning her home into a welcoming place for travelers, especially tourists. As a former domestic worker and talented cook, she envisioned sharing her space and culture with visitors seeking an authentic township experience.

More than 20 years after purchasing her home and despite facing personal challenges, she launched the guesthouse 2008 with determination. A few years after getting the Guest House up and running Nomase had a stroke and was unable to fully manage the business herself, her family honored her dream and continued to run the guesthouse.

The property itself has evolved over time. Originally a modest two-bedroom house, it was gradually converted into a cozy four-room guesthouse, to cater to different types of guests. The space reflects the love and dedication of its founder, with every detail designed to provide comfort and a sense of home.

Today, the guesthouse remains a cherished family legacy, offering not just a place to stay but also a connection to the community and its culture. The vision to host travelers continues to guide its operations, making it a unique and welcoming destination.
