We love to collaborate and welcome your ideas on how to better serve you and our community.
We provide screening services for families that may have questions or concerns about their child's development; want to confirm if their child is on track with achieving milestones; or are unsure if their child is in need of therapy. After an age-appropriate developmental screening, we share feedback with families and if their child may benefit from physical therapy, needs a referral for occupational or speech therapy, or are not currently in need of therapy. Screening can catch concerns early so your child can get the right help and support now. We offer screenings on an individual basis and also in the fall at several local daycares, MDOs, and schools.
In the state of Alabama, an initial evaluation is required before treatment can be provided. Evaluations include history, assessments, tests and measures, recommendations, and goals. Our team can perform an evaluation or your child can be evaluated by another provider outside of No Limits. You do not need a referral nor a prescription to see a therapist at No Limits, but you are welcome to send one to us if you have one.
Treatment services are provided based upon your child's needs and schedule. We may recommend services weekly, twice weekly, every other week, monthly, or another frequency depending upon what will be most effective for your child. As your child progresses, we may recommend changing the frequency or duration of the services.
We offer intensive therapy services to enhance outcomes over a shorter period of time. Intensive therapy can be 3-5 times/week for 2-6 weeks, depending upon your child's needs and schedule. Bouts of intensive therapy have been found to be more effective than less frequent, longer-term therapy, depending upon the child's presentation or diagnosis.
Sports Training & Rehabilitation
We offer training for individuals and teams throughout the year to prepare them for new sports, tryouts, upcoming seasons; to maintain or enhance conditioning during off-season; or to improve their current skills during the season or off-season. We focus on the needs of the individual or group, but often perform agility, speed, coordination, endurance training and sport-specific activities. We also provide sports rehabilitation after injury and return-to-sport programs to allow a safe and effective way to get back to the sports you love.
We offer group therapy for children of similar ages, developmental levels, and needs. Group therapy can be more engaging and motivating than individual therapy for some children. Contact us to discuss joining an ongoing group or starting a group with children you already know. Sports teams or off-season training groups are also welcome.
Parent & Caregiver Education
We offer parent and caregiver education and therapeutic play instruction. We can also provide recommendations for developmentally appropriate toys, shoes and orthotics, sensory integration ideas in the classroom and at home, developmentally appropriate activities and sports to allow for therapeutic carryover outside of treatment, and more. Don't hesitate to ask questions, as we love to teach and support you.
Whenever needed, our team can perform a re-evaluation or your child can be re-evaluated by another provider outside of No Limits. Re-evaluations are often performed to assess progress since the initial evaluation and can be useful for your child's pediatrician, other medical or therapy team members, or insurance provider.
Our team can determine if your child would benefit from using Kinesiotape or Theratogs to enhance treatment and for therapeutic carryover at home. Our team can order and apply Kinesiotape and use a trial kit, measure and order a kit to own, and adjust Theratogs.
