You’ve marched and rallied. Now take the next steps.
Trump and his allies are openly attempting an authoritarian takeover. They want us to believe that they are unstoppable.
In truth, they are showing their fear and weakness. Their policies are unpopular and their support is tanking. They know they stand to lose Congress in 2026 and accountability will follow. They are rushing now to rig the elections and put troops on the ground to prevent or deny an electoral loss next year.
Experts agree, the way to stop them before then is a sustained movement of non-violent resistance involving at least 3.5% of the people that will force key enablers to defect before Trump and his allies can consolidate power.
The cracks are forming. But we must rapidly scale up the resistance while there is still time.

Take Action for Rhode Island Healthcare
TAKE ACTION TODAY:
Historic healthcare cuts hurt us all! In Rhode Island, more than 50,000 Rhode Islanders will lose coverage due to Trump administration policies. Combined with attacks on access to gender affirming and reproductive healthcare, this puts everyone's care at risk, by starving hospitals, health centers, and other providers of funds and driving up premiums and out-of-pocket costs for everyone.
Rhode Island's Protect Our Healthcare Coalition believes healthcare is a human right and that every person deserves access to quality, comprehensive healthcare. Share your story with them to help persuade Rhode Island policymakers to take action to fill the affordability gap caused by the Trump administration’s reckless policies.
Protect RI Voting Rights
The Trump administration and its allies have launched a multi-pronged attack on our democracy. They have sown distrust in our elections, promoted intimidation of nonpartisian election workers, and with the Janury 6th insurrection, attempted to subvert the will of the American people.
Now, the US Supreme Court is going to gut what's left of the 1965 Voting Rights Act, a landmark victory of the Civil Rights Movement that prevented Jim Crow-style discrimination at the ballot box.
The MAGA movement wants to take us back.
We won't go back.
Rhode Island will counter these outrageous attacks on our rights and ensure our voices are heard and our voters are protected. It is time for a Rhode Island Voting Rights Act.
If you believe that all eligible voters should have equal access to the ballot box and that elections should be free from discrimination and undue barriers, join Common Cause RI and the RI Voting Rights Access Coalition in the fight for the RI Voting Rights Act.
Let every Rhode Islander's voice be heard loud and clear. Reject the MAGA attacks on voting rights.
WE WILL NOT GO BACK!

This FAQ is intended to give some guidance on what actions you can take as a bystander in this situation. Consider talking about these action items with a trusted friend or family member, and practice what you can say out loud before you need to use this information.
