If you want a dedicated, professional-grade audio tool for focused Zoom calls with active noise cancellation and seamless multi-device switching, choose Nokia Solo Bud 2; if you need lightweight, glasses-friendly open-ear headphones that keep you aware of your surroundings while running or working out, choose MOMOHO Open Ear Earbuds.
• Nokia Solo Bud 2: Its biggest strength is the advanced Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) designed specifically to isolate voice during calls on two devices simultaneously; its trade-off is that it is a single mono earbud rather than a stereo pair. This pick is for professionals who prioritize call clarity above all else.
• MOMOHO Open Ear Earbuds: Its biggest strength is the secure, clip-on design compatible with eyeglasses and an impressive 40-hour total battery life for long commutes or workouts; its trade-off is the lack of active noise isolation since they sit outside the ear canal. This pick is for athletes and commuters who value situational awareness.
The Nokia Solo Bud 2 Pro stands out immediately as a device engineered for the modern remote worker. Its primary architecture revolves around the concept of a "mono" earbud, which might sound limiting to some, but for someone spending hours on Zoom calls, this focus is a feature, not a bug. The device leverages Bluetooth 5.3 technology to maintain a rock-solid connection, but the real magic happens with its multipoint connectivity. This allows you to be paired with both your laptop and your smartphone at the same time. You can answer a call on your phone without disconnecting from a video conference on your computer, or seamlessly switch between media streaming on one device and a work call on another without fumbling through menus.
For anyone using a microphone headset for zoom calls, the Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) is the deciding factor. Unlike simple passive isolation, this active technology works to reduce background noises before they reach the other person on the line. Whether you are in a busy coffee shop, a noisy home office with kids, or just dealing with ambient traffic sounds, the ENC ensures your voice comes through clearly. The design is compact, weighing only 4.54 grams, making it barely noticeable when worn for extended periods. It sits securely in the ear, providing a stable platform for the microphone to capture your voice accurately.

However, this product is not for everyone. If you are looking for immersive music listening with deep bass or spatial audio, this single-driver dynamic unit is not the right fit. It is designed primarily for communication, though it does support media streaming for podcasts and music when you aren't on a call. The IPX4 rating means it can handle sweat and light splashes, making it durable enough for a walk in the rain, but it is not a heavy-duty sports earbud. If you need a stereo experience or don't care about call quality as much as music fidelity, you should skip this model and look elsewhere.
The MOMOHO Open Ear Earbuds take a completely different approach to audio, prioritizing comfort and safety over isolation. These clip-on headphones rest on the outer rim of your ear rather than plugging into the canal. This design makes them inherently "glasses friendly," a critical detail for anyone who wears prescription eyewear. Traditional in-ear buds often create pressure points where the temple arms of glasses meet the ear, causing pain after an hour or two. With these open-ear designs, there is no such conflict, allowing you to wear them comfortably for the entire workday or a long run.
Battery life is another massive advantage here. While many competitors struggle to offer more than 6 or 8 hours on a single charge, the MOMOHO buds deliver up to 10 hours per charge, totaling 40 hours with the charging case. This is ideal for travelers or those who forget to charge their gear nightly. The inclusion of fast charging is also notable; just ten minutes in the case provides two hours of playback. The Bluetooth 6.0 chip ensures a very stable connection, reducing dropouts even in crowded areas like train stations or offices. For those seeking waterproof open ear headphones for zoom calls or outdoor use, the sweat-resistant construction holds up well against gym sessions and sweaty runs.
The trade-off with this design is the lack of noise isolation. Because the drivers face outward and do not block the ear canal, you will hear everything happening around you. While this is perfect for safety during jogging or cycling, it can be distracting if you are trying to focus in a loud environment. Additionally, while the 14mm drivers provide powerful sound with rich vocals and decent bass, they cannot match the acoustic seal of an in-ear bud. If you need to drown out a barking dog or a crying baby to get work done, these will not help you. They are best suited for people who want to stay connected to the world while still enjoying high-quality audio.

In my opinion, I would buy the Nokia Solo Bud 2 if my primary goal was productivity and clear communication. The ability to handle calls from two devices at once, combined with the active noise cancellation, makes it the superior choice for anyone working remotely or taking frequent business calls. It solves the specific problem of background noise and device switching better than any other option I have seen. However, if I were planning to spend my day running errands, hitting the gym, or wearing glasses all day, I would choose the MOMOHO Open Ear Earbuds for their comfort and extended battery life. Ultimately, for those prioritizing a reliable microphone setup for virtual meetings, the Nokia Solo Bud 2 is the more capable tool.
Yes, the MOMOHO Open Ear Earbuds are specifically designed with a clip-on structure that sits behind the ear, making them compatible with most prescription glasses frames without causing pressure points. The Nokia Solo Bud 2 is an in-ear model that may conflict with thick temple arms depending on the frame style.
The MOMOHO Open Ear Earbuds offer significantly longer usage, providing up to 10 hours on a single charge and 40 hours total with the case. The Nokia Solo Bud 2 offers up to 6.5 hours on the bud itself, with a total of 20 hours available when including the charging case.
The Nokia Solo Bud 2 features advanced Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) technology that actively reduces background sounds for the listener. The MOMOHO Open Ear Earbuds rely on high-sensitivity microphones but do not have active noise cancellation, so background noise may be more audible to others on the call.
Yes, the MOMOHO buds include a specific Game Mode that reduces latency for improved audio-video synchronization, which is useful for casual gaming or watching videos. The Nokia Solo Bud 2 focuses on voice clarity and does not explicitly mention low-latency gaming modes.
