Instrumental Music

The idea for this piece was born in 2018 during a visit to Kaohsiung, Taiwan. 

While taking a walk in a beautiful local park, my mind was on my hospitalized grandson as I prayed for his fast recovery and longed for the day he and his family could return home.

Discovering The Undersea is a slow, immersive instrumental journey that immerses the listener in the quiet vastness of the deep ocean.

Gentle, resonant percussions pulse like distant heartbeats or the soft thud of a diver’s equipment, while layered atmospheric effects—shimmering textures, submerged echoes, and fluid ambient washes—create the sensation of drifting through cool blue water. The music unfolds at an unhurried pace, allowing space for the imagination to wander among coral gardens, shafts of filtered light, and the graceful movement of marine life.

It evokes the wonder of discovery: the first glimpse of an otherworldly landscape, the silent ballet of creatures gliding past, and the profound calm of being weightlessly suspended in an alien yet beautiful world.
