Brief series description
The IN series is a drawing project that began in august 2024. It was originally meant to be just two drawings. However, I grew so fond of the composition, style and characters that I kept adding drawings, each of them with a specific composition and backstory. The main series was concluded in september 2025 but I'm still adding secondary drawings to the series. I have done a few drawing series in the past, yet this one is the one I've put the most time and effort into.

Artistic purpose
The IN series, despite being a world and story in which characteres interact with one another, is an art series based on specific composition, colour and style parameters. Multilayers and colour are what define this series. The 8 main drawings follow a particular pattern that explains their relationships amongst one another.
The 8 drawings are divided into 4 subcategories: The Angels, The Demons, The Creatures and The Life Spectrum. Each subdivision is a pair that correlates artistically with the other. Most are opposites in some way.
Important: criteria is based both on the susbtractive and additive colour wheels.
The Angels (The Angel in Black, The Angel in White):
These is the first pair of the series and represents black and white. Light and Darkness. They are complementary to each other as there is light in the dark and darkness in the light, like the yin yang symbol . Black and White are the mixture of all colours on the CMYK and the RGB scales respectively.
The Demons (The Demon in Red, The Demon in Blue):
The second pair, despite being the same type of being, differ in colour. Red and Blue as two different primary colours in the RGB scale. These two drawings feature negative effect in which their eyes change to the other's colour, symbolising a connection just like The Angels. Being of high hierarchy does not guarantee unlimited power because if we saw this from a CMYK perspective, both Red and Blue are secondary colours.
The Creatures (The Cyborg in Green, The Fae in Pink):
These characters, as they are below The Demons in hierarchy, represent secondary colours. Pink (Magenta) from the RGB scale and Green from the CMYK scale. The difference in the colour scales used is meant to portray the contrast of the nature of their beings, Jisung was born a Fae meanwhile Changbin was born human and made Creature after. Different backgrounds. Their power is not to be underestimated. If we change the perspective and swap the scales, Pink (Magenta) would be a primary colour in CMYK and Green would be a primary colour in RGB.
The Life Spectrum (The Ghost in Grey, The God IN_):
The last pair is the one with a wider space in between the characters and that is why it's called a spectrum. Here the concept of Life and Death is portrayed by the presence and the absence of colour. They are both the most distant ends of what it means to exist. One lacks all colour, for its undead state whilist the other holds all colours because he is a higher entity that exists above all previously mentioned characters.
It's important to note that, composition-wise, The God IN_ drawing includes the colour (or lack thereof) of all the other characters. Each eye that was drawn is taken from the previous pairs. The black and white eyes refer to The Angels, the snake and bird eyes refer to The Demons and the robot and fairy eyes belong to The Creatures. Because the Ghost in Grey is his counterpart, The God's eyes cry black tears. The actual God's eyes are not displayed anywhere in the drawing because, just like he is all colours, he is all characters all the time, at the same time. However, his original eyes match the Ghost's and are black and white too.
Name explanation
Name explanation
The series is named IN after the pattern of names "The _ in _" because each character is IN something. Coincidentally, Yang Jeongin's (The God IN_) artist name is I.N, which is why he is one of the most relevant characters in the series. Following the aforementioned colouring and composition criteria, we can conclude The God is IN every other character due to his Higher Entity status. His name is the only one that differs from there others because he is IN all the colours and because he is, quite literally, I.N.
