About

The Niagara Olympic Club (NOC) was originally formed in 1994 with the intent of bringing together elite runners in the Niagara Region. We have now redefined our goal to bring together all track and field athletes in the region, not only for the love of the running sports, but in order that they may experience the higher level of fitness and competition that commitment, coaching and team spirit always bring.

Athletes can take part in running events on a year round basis with two or more practice sessions per week. From December through March, the athletes are involved in indoor track with practices locally at Ridley College Field House and McMaster University in Hamilton. The track season moves outdoors at the end of March through July. With as much training as possible in Short Hills provincial park and Fireman’s Park in Niagara Falls, in September, the cross-country season begins and runs until November.

We give our runners room to compete formally at all levels, including Canadian National Championships; Athletics Ontario Provincial Championships; University/High School Meets; Minor Track Association Meets; and All-Comers Meets.

For High School Track and Field Programs, student athletes can get an early edge over their competition by training through the winter months and arriving for the outdoor season ready to really compete. High School Cross-Country programs can truly excel when their running athletes are fully speed-trained and conditioned from a summer of training and competitions.

For Niagara running enthusiasts age 11 and above, come and try us out during any scheduled practice time, come dressed to run! We look forward to helping you to get involved in our committed, formal running Programs.
