LGBTQ+ liberation is a struggle against oppression.

A big part of that oppression is at the hands of police, especially in communities of color. From TC Pride, we demand:
* Honor trans women of color and their historic resistance of police violence

* Get rid of police and law enforcement at all of their events.

* Divest of all corporations - they profit from our marginalization.

* TC Pride must be led by LGBTQ+ BIPOC people.

This is why this year TCC4J and many organizations will be Taking Back Pride as we Defend our Trans Family and our Communities! We will march under the slogans of Black Trans Lives Matter! No Cops at Pride! and Pride for the People!
