It seems like maintainer of the launcher knows about it:

github.com/remyroy/CDDA-Game-Launcher Issue: "Could not download" dropbox link Mods and Soundpacksopened by KurzedMetalon 2018-07-27closed by remyroyon 2018-07-31Seems like all dropbox links can't be downloaded from the Launcher anymore.I got errors for StatsThoughSkills IV, Whaleys Small Town Building...

It is non of those NMM is pointed to the right folder. All the plugins i want are checked and it is a legal version of skyrim off steam. All my plugins where working fine but now when i check em they do not load. When i start skyrim i am only able to play vanilla skyrim without dawnguard, hearthfire, and dragonborn since they wont load ether. Checking the mods under data files in the launcher has the same problem. I have validated the cache in steam but nothing changed.

I just downloaded technic launcher after rewatching the race to the moon series, when i load press play on the mod pack it load up but it doesnt come up with any mods. its just normal vanilla minecraft, ive changer launcher ram to everything my computer can handle and nothing works, please help.

Hi, I've just updated my game after rockstar said to download the new launcher on,14.08.2020 after doing so I cant play gta5 with mods anymore as the launcher keeps checking for mods and now I've found out it won't let you play offline anymore either.

can someone help me play the mods again and bypass this launcher by rockstar, please?

You mean the launcher keeps updating the game files to back to Vanilla? If that's the case, you are modding the game wrong. Never mod Vanilla files. Make a mods folder and copy the update.rpf file into it and mod it there. It won't check for files. If you get the message saying that there are files that could get you banned coming from the launcher, just ignore it. Don't play online is all it takes.

@Algonquin1234 I've just done what you said to put the update.RPF into the mods folder, come to start it with no internet and it directs me straight to the new launcher, so I've tried to start the game from there with the internet off and it says offline mode no connection and nothing I can't start it the way I used to because of this new launcher that's like steam where it loads your games up and you have to launch them from there I'm not sure if everyone has had this yet. also what else goes in the mods folder, please.

Yeah. The new launcher prevents you from loading the game in offline mode. I think it's to prevent piracy. They want you online forcefully to confirm 100% it's a legit copy. It's a bunch of bs. Any mod that requires a change in files you would put into the mods folder. For example, a mod says you need to extract a file into the common.rpf files. So you would copy that into the mods folder and edit it using OpenIV. If you want to edit any sounds, copy the X64 file in the GTA V root directory and paste into the mods folder. Honestly, it depends on the mod what to put into the mods folder.

@Algonquin1234 still no joy they piss me off what harm are we doing when we are offline, do I have to put scripthook v and others into the mods folder as my game is retail with the disks and I need to get past the launcher I've also got my car mods in the dlc folder too will they be ok there .

I downloaded and installed forge 1.10.2 to my launcher but when it does not show up in my launcher, I installed forge 1.11 a few days ago and it worked without any problems so I am confused on how to install it.

if you're using the new launcher, in the corner (3 lines) select launch options, there it will give you the option to add a game type, select the forge you are using then close and reopen the launcher

I've recently changed to the new Minecraft launcher, and I have noticed a change in the .minecraft folder layout. I can no longer install mods just by copying it over into the versions/1.6.1 jar file, as this file refreshes every time it is launched.

There doesn't seem to be any official way. Then again, modding the game by splaying open and modifying the internals of the .jar file was never really officially supported, either. The new launcher is, ultimately, part of a rather large series of changes to Minecraft, including making mods actually something the game supports via the new Resource Pack stuff, but until that time, modding is a bit more awkward.

However, there's still a way to do it. Go into the versions folder inside .minecraft, and copy the version you want to mod. Rename the copied folder, and both the files inside, to some new name, say "modded 1.blah". Lastly, open the .json file in a text editor, and change the line that will read something like "id": "1.6.1", so that the ID matches the new name. The new launcher should now show a version "modded 1.blah" in the list, but since that version doesn't exist on the Minecraft servers, it won't get overwritten. Splay open and tinker with the .jar file in there the same way you always would with the old launcher.

Note:

If you are using the new launcher with an older version of Minecraft, then the mods you are using may attempt to access files in the bin folder directly. If this is the case, you can simply create a folder named 'bin' in the .minecraft folder where they are looking for it, and add the files the mod needs in there. The mod should find the files, and carry on as it used to, not knowing the difference.

Also, to partially rule out SKSE, try launching the game via MO using the Skyrim launcher. If it loads, you should see an SKSE not running message, but it *should* still load even if there is an issue is with SKSE config.

... since you are running a custom mod list, next step would be to disable all mods but for the cleaned SSE masters and SKSE64. Then try launching with the SKSE launcher in MO2. If it works, you likely have a mod compatibility issue. In that case, enable mods in small batches down the list, run LOOT, sort/apply, launch game until it crashes to find the culprit(s).

Try making a new profile (Configure profiles/ Create) with "Default game INI settings" checked. Then switch to it. Don't worry the new profile will have all the mods, but they will be unchecked and alphabetical order. Try running the game without anything checked and using the regular game launcher to see if the game will start and maybe play for a couple of minutes. If it starts then enable SKSE data mod and launch the game from the SKSE launcher. Report back when you can.

Curse/Overwolf: If you are using the Curse Launcher, their configurations break Forge's log settings, fortunately there is an easier workaround than I originally thought, this works even with Curse's installation of the Minecraft launcher as long as it is not launched THROUGH Twitch:

The launcher was not showing mods installed, I went to the control panel and clicked the drop down to reinstall the launcher and now the server will not start. I have not changed anything other then try to install the launcher.

If nothing has worked in restoring Minecraft so far, you may need to reinstall the game. This can be done after uninstalling it first and then re-downloading the launcher from the official website. Make sure that you know your login information before attempting this method! You will need it to authorize your account and download Minecraft again.

People who bought FFXIV on Steam are required to link their Steam account to their Square Enix account in the official launcher. We have no way around this, and because of this, you are required to have Steam open if you have a Steam service account.

Hey guys i found out a way that worked for me, first completely unistall beammp (and user files) then reinstall it, run the launcher the go to mods deactivate the bammp mod then reactivate it

hope it worked

Whenever I download an Arma 3 workshop mod, it doesn't install. It will download just fine, but the launcher just refuses to say a new mod as been loaded. It will eventually find the mod, but it can sometimes take up to a WEEK for the mod to load. This issue started a few months ago. There are some random occurrences where the mods will load within only an hour or so of finishing the download, but that is very rare. In addition, the launcher will start to crash whenever a new mod is finally recognized by the launcher. When the launcher finds a new mod (usually downloaded a week prior), the mod will show up in green highlight on the bottom of the launcher before promptly crashing. When it crashes, I get several "Arma 3 Launcher.Exe has stopped working" prompts at once. Not just one, but usually four or five. I have tried everything I can think of to fix this issue.

Whenever I try to download an Arma 3 mod on the workshop, it will (usually) download right away and download the whole mod at once (again, usually). After a around a week or so, the mod will show up in the launcher. The launcher will then either crash repeatedly until I restart my computer, or the mod will load without issue. These steps haven't really changed much, but things do sometimes change. For example, when I first noticed this problem, some mods would be recognized by the launcher within only a few hours. That sounds like a long time, but compared to the week that I have to wait now, it is minor.

Just a quick update. I started my launcher just now (8:36 PM EST) to see if any mods that I subbed to earlier today actually showed in the launcher. To my surprise, a mod actually showed up! I only downloaded one mod today, and it didn't crash the launcher since I unsubscribed from a bunch of mods I didn't use.

In addition, I was messing around with some mods and I got them to show up as soon as I subscribed to them. I had been trying to get the new RHS mods to show up on the launcher for the past week, but I finally got it to sort of work. I managed to find the RHS mods (that were downloaded from the workshop) deep in my steam folder, and I deleted all of them manually. Afterwards, I resubscribed to the mods, and they showed up immediately in the launcher. However, they didn't actually download and are all marked as corrupted. From there, I deleted them and resubscribed to them. This time, it is actually downloading some of the mod (Only 2.9 GB instead of the 9.1 GB it should be downloading, the 4 RHS mods are 9.1 GB combined). I will update again once the downloads finish. be457b7860
